Peterman in as QB ???? what to expect (merged)

He was almost the starter this year. He was thrust into a difficult situation today, and the Dawgs pinned their ears back on him. The playcalling didn't do him any favors.

Peterman is fine, and will likely start next year until Dormady or Jennings are ready.

Exactly. Poor play calling and they pretty much blitzed every down, which you can do against a QB without much experience.

Nothing like a thread created by an offensive coordinating expert "fan"... :birgits_giggle::birgits_giggle::birgits_giggle:

I'm so sick and damn tired of these stupid threads poppin up after every GREAT ball game we play that is a loss. Jezz need tougher restrictions to be able to start threads!! If ya don't like it go watch and pull for somebody else. Hell, I hear there's still room on bamas wagon!

You mad, bro?

Peterman has NO field presence I actually don't think he has peripheral vision. Dude is a deer in the headlights.

Probably but he still was outperformed by Peterman in the spring and preseason practice.

We're talking about practice. It's obvious who is better in a real game. CBJ was hoping to redshirt Dobbs but it won't happen. Can't afford to if he wants to win at least 6 games. Worley won't make it through the season without getting injured and Peterman will never win a game as a starting QB at UT

Are you joking? He does not have capability to play in SEC, and he showed his performance today again. He should be gone to lower school and wrong decision by coaching staffs to insert him to today's game.

Yea I am, I'm tired of the head huntin on our coaches by so called fans. They was given a mess and have made great strides in a year and a 1/4 of another. Coaching changes only set us back, you'd thought people woulda learned that during the Dooley era. We had new coaches every flippin year. Just enjoy the consistency in our coaches n watch these young men grow and develop.

Barely. People act like Dobbs lit it up last year. He generally sucked, especially in crunch time against Vandy.

Peterman would win games if he could actually get some reasonable experience. My gosh, he's been thrown to the wolves twice now. It helps to first be thrown in against the lambs.

I don't buy that. Maybe you can chalk the Florida game up to nerves & inexperience but if he was any kind of player he would've had a speck more poise today. He did not.

There's no way to prove it but given the blitzes thrown at him, I seriously doubt Dobbs would have looked much better.

Exactly he is a redshirt sophomore so he has been on campus for 3 years now.

Peterman fared okay while in the game. Remember, he has not worked with the first team much and there were timing issues.

There is no doubt about it that Worley is the best QB on this team.

He had no chance at that point in the game. Georgia pinned their ears back, and put a tremendous amount of pressure on him. There was no time to throw the ball. Jake may have been able to help him a bit more. The 2 fumbled handoffs were the difference. Peterman was on the bench for one.
