Pearl isn't going to Auburn. He would've taken the job already. He's waiting until better options become available. Might be a better one on Wednesday night

again i say this is ridiculous. what about vandy with dooley? if you believe it would benefit the program in the long run then its the right thing to do

Question, what other candidate or Martin gives us the best chance to make money back in a program that is losing money fast? Also, what boosters that were pre-Pearl are still influential? Last, name one candidate that would overnight reignite a basketball fan base and automatically make season ticket sales go up.

I agree with you. It's called perspective. Big picture. One game doesn't matter. But the next three years matters more than a tournament run. Do I want them to win, of course! Would I see it as more beneficial to lose, possibly. But I feel bad for the players on the team workin hard bc it's not their fault.

thats a really great point. i never thought of it that way. honestly i hope that CCM just had a slow start and turns out to be a great coach, though he style isnt near as exciting for me to watch as pearl's. but if we are winning big games and competitive in the tourney every year i could get used to it

All I know is that I paid more attention to the team when Pearl was running things. He had charisma and can obviously coach. I wish Cuonzo the best.
