Petrino back to Louisville

I think this is where JF lands.

I think that would be a great spot for little Jimmy as well. I sent a text to my Louisville buddy about that yesterday.

Petrino will never be welcomed back in Louisville. He left a dumpster fire on his exit.

Derek Mason is a name to watch for here.

If there is any sentiment to bringing Lying Bob back to the Ville, their fans have pretty darn short memories. Petrino left the cupboard bare once the NFL came calling.

AHC Vance Bedford (?) is interviewing Tue. Former Rbc at UF that followed Strong. Also Ed O name is making rounds as target guy. Would be a good landing spot for him.

Thing is nobody really wants Franklin --- all those jobs filled and no Franklin offers

Yea I know, I was just makin a joke! I would really like to see big Phil have some role in the AD either the big man over it all or atleast football operations! He has the UT back ground and the love for the university and program!! But that's just my opinion and I know others would disagree!

If Phil stepped down on his own under better circumstances I wouldn't see an issue with it. As bitter as he's been though and his constant backhanded remarks about the coaches since him, I'm worried he'd try to mettle too much. Those moves seem to go smoother when the former coach turned AD steps aside voluntarily and picks his own guy, like Frank Broyles, Vince Dooley etc. If he could put his anger aside and put his love for the university to work, I'd be all for him having a role in the AD.

Yeah. Phil just needs to realize he had nothing to prove in terms of his legacy. I think he has ex syndrome where you don't want your exes new fling to be better than you. He just needs to realize with two sec titles and a NC plus all the great players that have gone to have great careers that he coached, he's climbed the mountain.

Petrino will "leave the cupboard bare" wherever he coaches because he doesn't require that much talent to win. How many former Louisville or Arkansas players do you hear about in the NFL? His offense just straight up works.

This. I thought Western's recruiting, in terms of stars, would take off after hiring a coach with his resume, but he's recruited "worse" per se than Willie T did.

Call me crazy, but I don't think Petrino to Louisville is completely out of the question.
