Certainly a cool conversation piece. I could never justify spending that much on a jersey thanks for sharing. What else do you have in terms of game worn?

It is the "Keeping up with the Jones" mentality. I have never understood it. Keep doing what you are doin.

True, bottom line it's America you can spend your money how you choose. Plus, I enjoy the pics.

Hey Doc. Does every team and player do this for every game. Reason is ...as much as I would LOVE to have a item like this I just can't afford it, but thought maybe something like a Witten or Foster, Maybe even the Colquitts. How does one go about getting an item like these. Does the team website have a link for this stuff or is it an auction company? Can you steer a man in the right direction. And again I cannot afford the level of stuff you post so fear not , that you would be helping a competitor. It may not even be possible for the money I could spend which would have about a 1000 to 1500 limit.

Doc, ignore the hate -- This hobby is no different than collecting and trading antique cars. It's not for everyone, but it's everything for some guys.

How do you store or keep these jerseys? If you have a display of all your stuff, I seriously would love to see pics.

You easily have 6 figures worth of jerseys, color me impressed. I had no idea regular game jerseys went for that much.

Do you plan on selling some of these down the road again once they rise in value?

$50K for a jersey he wore against the 1-9 Jaguars?! I'm a Jags fan and that sounds silly to me.

You don't get it...It not the fact he wore it against the Jags, Its the fact he wore it this YEAR and he is having one hell of a year....Manning is quickly becoming the greatest QB ever in the NFL and this jersey will only increase in value to a select number of people who can afford it...It is clearly an investment and like doc said it will only increase in value over time.

You have an extremely expensive hobby. Enjoy it, but understand that your jersey is worth more than a lot of people's cars so just the thought of dropping $15k on memorabilia does not really compute.

Serious question: How do you care for/store these items?

Not serious question: Being a doctor and collecting game worn jerseys, I can only assume that you are in fact extracting DNA in order to clone a perfect VOL army. When can we expect to see your results at UT?
