North American Pro Athletes with the most MVP awards in their respective sports; Wayne Gretzky 9, Barry Bonds 7 (tainted), Kareem Abdul-Jabbar 6, Peyton Manning 5...That is some HIGH company, baby.

Who could the other vote have possibly been for? Tom Brady? Drew Brees? ....I really don't even know who to guess based on anything in the stats. Ridiculous. The writers just didn't want a unanimous vote.

Probably Bob Ryan of the Boston Globe...That is impossible to justify. Manning threw 30 more TD passes and for 1,100 more yards and completed 68% of his passes to 60% for Brady. Denver was 13-3 while New England was 12-4....The argument for Brady could only be that Manning had better receivers and a healthier supporting cast but that still does not explain such a significant difference in the stats or take anything away from what Manning did for a team with an average defense. This was either homer-ism or just a dislike for Manning and his clean cut image and multitude of commercial success and an unwillingness to anoint someone with a unanimous vote or a combination of all of the above. Whatever the case may be the person that made that vote should have to explain this.

Yep. Had Mr. Scruffy put up the same numbers it likely would've been a unanimous vote. Even the talk all year had been about how Peyton is always surrounded with great talent and Brady does more with less.

Congrats to Peyton! He is most deserving. Whoever voted for Brady should have his voting privs revoked.

Having said that, I do think this was one of Brady's most impressive seasons ever. I'm kind of glad he got a vote. He deserves to be recognized.

...even if Peyton is unquestionably the GOAT.
