Peyton wins MVP again

Congrats to Peyton! He is most deserving. Whoever voted for Brady should have his voting privs revoked.

Having said that, I do think this was one of Brady's most impressive seasons ever. I'm kind of glad he got a vote. He deserves to be recognized.

...even if Peyton is unquestionably the GOAT.

:::ducks:::

While I do agree that Brady deserves some honorable mention this season you just cant over look the way Manning crushed the record book this season. While 40 TDs is becoming more common I think 55 will stand for a looong time.

Until Peyton breaks it next year! :)

You do realize that Charles Woodson had nothing to do with the voting for the 1997 Heisman.

And that Woodson has never done anything to deserve the hate. I don't recall him causing trouble in the League.

I would rather Woodson have won it than that criminal junkie Leaf.

Woodson has had a very good career. It's just he plays D and it's harder to get on the stat sheet if you do your job as a D back.

Do Cowherd or Mike Greenberg have a vote?

I've never heard Cowherd hate on Peyton. I'm pretty sure if asked he would say Peyton is the best QB in the league. What are you referring to?

As bad as UT fans hate it Woodson at least STILL plays and has been one of the better heisman players in the league. As good as Peyton is there still was the UF curse that made him slip to number two.

Not really. Florida didn't help, but it was Leaf that took votes away from Manning. Strong armed, West Coast QB. That is why Manning lost the Heisman. People voted for him, thus taking votes from Manning.

Free your hearts from the Woodson hate.

I'm not flaming that opinion but it's wrong...that vote was a backlash against Peyton for coming back his fourth year...it was ABP where after hopes of his performance dipping didn't come to fruition,the next best thing became a two way star for the eventual co champion Michigan Wolverines...the fallacy being that he was a SHUTDOWN CORNER in the groundbound Big 10 and he caught some passes too. And Raghib Ismail didn't win a Heisman...how do we make up for that?...I don't KNOW that these were bullet points in their reasoning but Ryan Leaf had a GOOD season...not a Heisman winning one. Neither he nor Randy Moss factored in the total count yay or nay for Woodson or Peyton...imo

Jim Miller, a former NFL quarterback and Sirius XM NFL Radio host. I think he was a backup for the Patriots.

Yeah, he was a backup to Brady during the Pats' 2004 SB season. I would swear I've never heard of him before now. But his vote allows Brady to continue as the only unanimous MVP winner ever. So once again something involving the Patriots smells rotten. Makes you wonder how they choose the people who get to vote. Did this guy win a raffle or something? He should never be allowed to vote for anything again.
