Peyton wins MVP again

Yeah, I'm sure it has nothing to do with Brady being a former teammate or the fact that he is a Big Ten homer.

If that article is correct he was the Bears and Steelers QB (not Patriots). Anyhow, he is obviously an idiot since this year should have been unanimous given all the records Peyton broke.

Wow, man, it would have taken you a few seconds to Google it and find out that he really was with the Pats in 2004. But instead you chose to imply that I was either making stuff up or too dumb to read. I don't get it.

I did not mean to imply anything - just assumed that the article was correct (I could not care less where he played as I never even heard of him before and think he is an idiot purely based on not voting for Peyton). Sorry - did not mean to attack you.

Heh...alright, dude. No hard feelings.

Anyway, here's a link in case anyone else cares:

Jameis Winston beat the Heisman curse so the football gods created the MVP curse in its place.

Um Jordan never lost in the NBA finals.

So what? Jordan could not even make the finals when Celtics and Pistons had their great teams. Jordan entered the league in 84 or 85 and played at least 6-7 years before he could finally win and that's because Celtics and Pistons got old (he beat old and injured Lakers team for his first title). Also, Jordan's other titles to me have a lot less weight than Celtic or Laker titles from the 80's - those were the two greatest teams of all time and they had to face each other in the finals all the time (instead of Phoenix, Portland, Houston, and similar second tier teams that Jordan played in the finals).

Comparing different sports is difficult. I think Jordan's legacy is greatly enhanced by the fact that after he came back to the NBA after a 2 year hiatus he led the Bulls to 3 consecutive titles...AGAIN.

I agree and think comparing different sports is impossible. 22 starters on an NFL team. 5 on an NBA team. A single player has much greater impact in basketball. Elway lost the Superbowl to Doug Williams and Phil Simms. He beat Favre at a time when Favre was much better than he was. Football championships rely on many more moving parts.

Well deserved. By the time he's done he will be the best to ever play the position. If he ain't already

not to mention the fact that on a 5 man team you get to play offense and defense and obviously in football they have no direct influence on each other
