Although I do basically agree with you, I also gave a like to the post you were taking exception to. Seems to me they were agreeing they had to give Hadden some grudging admiration or tip of the hat, that he had worked to win back some respect. Right?Literally just took one reply to try and take away the season Hadden is having.
We have some absolutely miserable fans.
In fairness, it’s been against subpar competition and he was awful in the FL game. He has played horrendously since he has been here, and there is nothing wrong with tempering expectation. That said, I think in a way the post you are referencing implies his chances were lessened when we weren’t getting pressure on the QB, which they are. I still think there is great improvement in Hadden, because even the subpar teams threw all over him in the past, and that isn’t happening. He is also noticeably committing to the tackle and making tackles. Seems to know where the ball is at to make any interception and not dropping the ball when he has an easy opportunity. If he can keep this up against quality opponents, which I hope he does, he will get to thumb his nose at us all, along with the entire defense and staff. I’m rooting for Hadden as he was a prized transfer and he is just a kid who has been playing his butt off lately. We seem to be what have you done for me lately as a fan base, and that should go both ways. Meaning, he deserves his praise.Literally just took one reply to try and take away the season Hadden is having.

Miserable and patheticMaybe so. He isn’t much of a tackler, but he has had some good moments s of late. Looking at the PFF grades, you can see how good the defensive line is and how much easier they are making the lives of the rest of the defense. Pierce, Eason, and Baron have consistently graded very highly. If you can win with four, defense is easy.
I had the same conversation with somebody this week. Being able to generate pass rush with 4 is the key to being good on defensively. We've had a few over the years that were good players, but this feels like the first time in a bit where we're 6-7 deep with average to above average SEC bodies. I think our stability and ability to bring back so many core guys and then have a guy like Pearce pop from recruitment has been a perfect storm to bring in good production.Maybe so. He gets graded on every play regardless what the D line is doing. Why do people on here who claim to be Tn. fans always try to justify their negative narratives?Maybe so. Correct. Was trying to convey that he has been playing well and that the rest of the defense is giving him and the other DBs a chance. When we had to send one and two extra defenders to get pressure, it leaves a lot of holes in the back end. We have to play a lot more zone and the defensive backs had a lot of confusion. When we have been able to rush four and could get pressure, the coverages have been more straightforward and we have more help. The DBs can play man with help. That’s what I was getting at.Although I do basically agree with you, I also gave a like to the post you were taking exception to. I already knew the point! Of course pressure makes it easier on the DB’s, my 15 year old grandson knows that. The thread was about Hadden and his Pro grade. Instead of acknowledging his accomplishments you had to to add some shade. Every cornerback in the country has a D line. You missed the entire point

I thing the FLA game was a wake up call for Hadden because everyone knows that terrible tackle was devastating to the game.Im still angry about that missed tackle @ Florida. But im coming around on him. Not ready to forgive just yet.
