Senior .....I believe she will also have super senior status ( another year if she opts for it due to covid year ).
My understanding is that any player who first played in 2020-21 or before can take an extra year. Any player starting after that cannot. Wells started in 2020-21, so she can play 1 or 2 years more. Her choice.

One down!!! Welcome.
This is a huge get for the LVs. (Destinee also shows there are great players in the State of TN and the coaching staff has to identify them, recruit them, and get to commit.). I believe the core of Rickea, Tamari, Jillian, and now Destinee will be formidable next season. I am pumped. GBO.

Good news, since we're losing Jordan.

According to ESPN’s analysis of Miss Wells she averaged over 19.5% points a game and shot 45.5% from deep. There is also some concern related to her height and the fact that she struggled when Belmont played top competition. However, she is listed as one of the top ten players in the portal as of now. I think Lexi Donarski, who is listed as the number 2 player in the portal and the 2022 Big 12 Defensive Player of the year, would be a significant upgrade at guard. She is an excellent shooter from deep.

I'm not exactly sure how ESPN came to that conclusion. Here's how Wells did against NET top 50 teams this year:
  • Louisville: 20 points, 7-10 FGs, 1-1 3FGs, 2 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 turnovers
  • MTSU: 5 points, 2-3 FGs, 1-1 3FGs, 3 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 turnovers
  • Iowa: 9 points, 4-17 FGs, 0-4 3FGs, 6 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 turnovers
  • Villanova: 16 points, 5-10 FGs, 1-2 3FGs, 1 rebound, 3 assists, 7 turnovers
  • Georgia: 12 points, 3-7 FGs, 3-7 3FGs, 2 rebounds, 7 assists, 3 turnovers
She had a rough shooting night against Iowa and turned the ball over against Villanova. Otherwise, this looks pretty darn solid to me. That's 45% shooting and 40% 3pt. shooting with a 1.4 A/TO ratio against some really good teams.
