Phil Fulmer talking to assistants

Well considering that only one coach left after the 45-5 run, I would say we are somewhere in the middle. I know sanders after 2002 had a few HC interviews and Chavis turned down many college HC gigs. I've always said that a lot of kids became men, which is part of the college experience. Kids cried that Phil was fired and so did the coaches. They were a family and didn't wanna leave. Can't blame folks for wanting to stay together.

If Sanders and Chavis were such worthy candidates, why have they received absolutely zero opportunities since Fulmer left?

For one, Chavis has always turned down jobs and he got an upgrade at LSU. Why sanders went to UK is understood. See last year. Hell, I hate to say it but the Clawfense took his act to the BG and has fixed that program.

Charles Davis just said on Basilio that Fulmer was calling former assistants, inviting them to NYC to the awards ceremony, expenses paid.

Classy move, prob the correct motive behind the rumor in this thread. Imho

Don't get a comment like this - like he woke up one day and forgot how to coach - unless his health is bad - he's a great coach that won a lot of SEC games for us - just don't get "past his prime"

I'm assuming it has to do with Fulmer never adjusting to ever evolving offenses and defenses.
