Phil Fulmer

Who are the bigger sheep: the people who support CPF or the mindless jackals that call for a coach's job after every loss?

Not pointing fingers, just saying the pack mentality works both ways.

So you are saying that Fulmer is as good of coach as Bryant and Paterno?  At least during Paterno's bad years he was producing young men that could transfer into society with decent lives and decent jobs.  Fulmer is spitting out kids that have criminal records and no education.
Now I know you are related to Fulmer.

So your'e saying Fulmer is responible 24/7 for grown adults. Should he hold their hands. Every think that maybe their responsible for their actions? Why are you even allwoed on this board?

To heck with bad games or bad seasons.  The one big thing that joined Bryant and Paterno is the same thing that keeps them separated from Fulmer.  It's called respect.  You might hate them because of their devotion to their schools, their longevity and/or winning records.  But those are qualities I admired in Bear Bryant, and I still do in JoPa.  Of all the things I know or have ever heard about Bear Bryant or Joe Paterno, I've never heard anything that would make me disrespect either of them.

Actually I think another thing "THE BEAR" was good at was getting his players to fake being hurt whenever they needed a late timeout. I think he invented that.

It isn't so much that many are calling other sheep and whatnot...to me it is the people doing.

When Memphis and other posters who have been here for awhile or made numerous great posts say something negative...they either have a good reason or lots of facts to back up what they say.

Instead, after the loss...we have these 10 posts children running around screaming for Fulmer's head.

Big difference

Do the number of posts qualify your credibility on this board? So the handful of 1000+ posters are the only ones who matter or are right or have any credibility at all?

Message board mentality kills me. Unless your the charter member of a free message board, you're crap and should stay home whining by yourself because all you do is lie and gripe. Is that your line of thinking?

I can't speak for U-T, but to me post count means anything other than a longer track record. The opinion of someone with 10 posts means no more or less than the opinion of someone with 3,000 posts.

All I'll say is that everybody is frustrated and some people just deal with it better than others.

When you get to 500, I'll consider thinking about that.... :biggrin2:

Just kidding, it doesn't matter to me. It's more about what you say and how you spell it versus how many post counts you have to me.

Credibility on here?

Probably yes...because we know whether the person is a troll or not and his/her past record on posting (ie is he an idiot posting just for rumors, ext...)

It may sound silly to you but I find it hilarious all these woodwark fans come running out in our lowest point. Doesn't take too long to see what posters are doing when signing up and their first 20 posts are "waaahhh, wahhhhh FULMER SUCKS, FULMER SUCKS, waahh"

I can speak for myself. It took me a long time to find a board with more than 5 active people discussing UT sports. So I came in here 'late in the game' so to speak. I can't speak for others but I imagine there is a mix of purposes of the new people coming on board. And until someone says "all I came here to do was complain", generalizations against them are just as bad as what they are being called.

The point is no matter what your reasons for joining the board or what your intentions are, you can say anything on here that you want as long as you do it respectful of everyone else.

The Clapper is responsible to take young men - who he sees some sort of character within - and develop them into grown men who make the correct decision - even when no one is looking. That is his responisbility - REACTION!!!!

evaluation time is needed to determine whether phil should get the ax or not. as bad as i hate to say it, it looked to me like tennessee lost some of their fire in a few ballgames. next year we need to have a more tough minded mentality and fight through adversity along with a more opened offensive approach.

i think after this year we'll see what type of resolve does phil have in order to correct the ship. it does not bode well that there has been a lack of self-control by some of the players off the field. if he can't bring any order to the program maybe greener pastures are the way to go.
