I can't wait till Butch gets his first signature win but I'm sorry but I just don't see it happening this week against GA. I hope I'm wrong but I think GA is a lot better team than their getting credit for. Lets just hope all the bounces go our way saturday. GO VOLS!

If there is one team that Tennessee has played above their level in our history, it's Georgia.

This. They have been way above our level talent wise for the past several years and its always a good game. I don't think we get blown out at all. Minimize mistakes, get Worley a little early confidence and snag some turnovers, were in it in the 4th.

He went on record at the beginning of the week putting G on upset alert. He stated publicly "This is a vastly improved tennessee team over last year". Now, if we can just keep out mouths shut long enough to let this play out.

At least give our guys half a chance.

If he thinks this team is vastly improved, then he obviously hasn't been watching UT football that close. Defense as a whole, yes. Running backs, yes. Everything else, no. As a team, no. 99% of this is centered around our QB play. If we had a good QB, then this might change. Until this changes, it will continue to get worse. Mark my words, the next few weeks are going to test fans patience.

Marshall did that against the worst D in the 117 year history of our team. I bet money he doesn't run for 165 yards against this D. The key is getting pressure on Murray and our Secondary playing absolute lights out for 4 quarters.

If we can run the ball with authority and Worley can have his best game ever then we have a chance. We also need 0 drops from the young WR's.

I said at the beginning of the year GA was our best shot at beating one of the good teams on our schedule. I still believe it. We need some picks, fluster the QB, stop the run (which is better wo Gurley), no turnovers, and RUN THE BALL! GO VOLS!

We will not win tomorrow. To pull this big of an upset takes a good QB. We just don't have it this year. Having said that, I believe we have found a great head coach. It is just going to take some time.

I watched the end of the game last week between LSU and Georgia. Georgia players and coaches were celebrating like they won the SEC championship. CMR was crying tears of joy while God blessing the crowd. It was a very emotional game for them. Over the top if you ask me but my whole point is I dont think they can bring that same emotion two weeks in a row and if there was ever a time to beat a good team its after an emotional win. I am hoping for a packed crowd of orange and white and showing our (50+) recruits how we do it on Rocky Top. Go Vols!

To be fair, a lot of his emotion also came from him having to speak at a former player's funeral. I'm sure he took it even worse since they are saying it was a suicide.

How many yards did Oregon have this year? UGA is hampered without Gurley but still have good rb's. Gurley is at least top 5 in the country.

Btw, Jamestown is where my wife is from, nice town.

Maybe not, but let's not act like allowing 25 fewer rushing yards a game makes us the steel curtain..

Ahhhh yes. Georgia will experience an emotional let-down.... Their starting running back is out.... Georgia always underachieves against us.... blah..blah..blah....

Just one problem. WE CAN'T SCORE. Georgia 45, UT 7.

On the Bill King show this morning that we cover and it will go down to the wire.

This could be the perfect storm? Gurley out, Matthews out. Letdown game... A couple turnovers and you never know.

He said if everyone was healthy and UGA wasn't coming off that big win, UGA wins easily BUT we do have those factors in our favor.

Our game with Clemson went down to the wire. So I guess that would make UT's offense on a par with Clemson's?

I ask myself that question every day lately. Just so tired of sucking. I love UT and my time there, but they are making it hard to watch these days.

Didn't Phil Steele also say (or well, write) Vanderbilt as one of the teams among his the "Top 14 Teams that 'Fit the Championship Mold' for 2013?"

I can see this game being over by the middle of the second quarter. Even if our defense plays lights out, our pitiful, impotent offense will keep them on the field all day allowing Georgia to score at least 28 points by default. I would suggest ingesting most of your alcohol by halftime because watching four quarters of this imminent beat-down may make some people violent, and alcohol and anger issues aren't healthy.

Between offense, defense, and special teams, UT has to win at least 2 of 3 areas and at least tie in the other area to pull off a win this Saturday. A couple of extra turnovers would be huge, too.
