Philadelphia residents have decried a recent spate of violent crime that has seen more than 750 people shot since the end of May, as a series of high profile incidents have rocked the crime-ridden city.

Shootings have occurred every day of the week and at any given hour of the day since May 31 - with nearly every corner of the city impacted.

The crime wave, meanwhile, has spared no one - with one incident this past week seeing a Temple University grad murdered by a masked gunman while walking the street, and another claiming the life of a 14-year-old football player when he was heading home from a school scrimmage.

Mass looting and other brazen assaults have also been commonplace, such as one over the weekend that saw more than 100 children as young as 10 storm and ransack a Wawa convenience store.

In another, filmed incident, a commuter was held at gunpoint by a masked marauder while waiting for the subway - further outraging fed-up Philadelphians.

It's illegal for mentally ill people to purchase or own guns. We need to start enforcing our existing gun laws instead of making new ones that only affect law abiding citizens. Perhaps we should go back to correctly diagnosing the alphabet community as mentally ill. Instead we now tell young kids to cut off their junk and take hormones, This alphabet was disturbed just like the Nashville shooter and he/she/it was also a BLM racist

Of course the President's own son committed a felony when he lied on his gun application. Then his dead brother's widow who he was sleeping with before he knocked up the cocaine stripper, threw the gun in a dumpster across the street from a school. Another crime. Neither faced consequences. Again, If we can't enforce existing laws then what good are new ones?

1. Its a people problem.
2. It is more difficult than ever to get a gun. If access to guns was the issue that needed to be addressed we would have seen far worse shootings back when you could mail order a gun, get it delivered to your house, and not have a background check, or confirm your identity.

Democrat-run Philadelphia’s Police Commissioner Danielle Outlaw is preparing to resign as crime and drug use take a heavy toll on residents.

More than three years after taking the role, Outlaw will step down on September 22, Fox 29 reported Tuesday, adding she will soon thereafter take the job of deputy security chief at the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.

Her resignation comes as several gunmen killed one person and wounded eight others during a recent block party in the city, Breitbart News reported, adding, “Philadelphia’s Office of Controller pointed out there have been 270 homicides in the city thus far in 2023. Nearly 250 of those homicide victims were killed with guns.”
