Uh - sour grapes anyone? The guy will see the floor. He's a project but give the guy some credit. Did he pack the ball in your face one too many times for your liking?

Oh ya he'll see the floor, when Phillip was a senior i went to almost every home game, and Pearl was at atleast 90% of the games (he even got a warning from the ref in one game) so obviously he wanted him pretty bad

A watched a guy that was 6 foot 3 inches abuse Jurick in high school.

Not saying Jurick is a bad player but he's going to need a lot of work.

yeah hes does nothing more than take up space on the floor

Did you get the ball blocked into your face too?

He was on the worst team I've ever seen. My Alma mater beat his sorry team by almost 40 a few years ago... and we're horrible. I saw him do what he could... and that was block lots of shots and get easy dunks when we wasn't triple teamed.. the refs also called cheap fouls on him a lot.

His team also had a bunch of selfish guards who thought they could make contested threes at any time and were horrible at getting the ball inside. - and I'm pretty sure he had horrible coaching. Cut him some slack his first year - we all knew he'd be more of a project type.

To compare Jurick from his junior year to his senior year is not good. He was alot better and showed alot more effort in his playing. His first couple years on the court he would get abused my much smaller guys, and he would get called for the foul. His senior year he used his body alot more. In the playoffs I watched them play a Nashville team play them, and he held a 6'8 300+ football commit to nothing. He has crazy good defensive skills, just needs to work on his offensive footwork a lil more. His HS team was horrible, as it was when I was there, but they made it in the playoffs his last 2 years on the team. He was the team.

This board seems to get worked up way too often about Freshman not seeing a - the court or b - the field. See Chris Donald
Give the kid some time. I am from Chattanooga and while the BBALL competition is good its not exatcly the bronx. Kid will need some time to adjust to the speed of the game and find his role. Besides with Negudu, Chism, and Williams in the paint i am not sure burning his RS for a few mpg will be worthwhile down the road.

So you went to East Ridge High?

I went to the same high school as him and watched many of his game. He has improved so much since high school, its crazy. I do believe he will be redshirted unless they get into major injury trouble this year.
