Phrases that should be retired

In terms of message boards I hate "This".

In the sports world I'm sick of "I'm going to take my talents to...." unless it involves Tennessee.

"I know (insert big-time recruit name here) personally, and he's definitely coming"

That and the term "Silent Commit"

"The game has passed him by'. I would love to see that famous quote banished from every sportswriters and talk show hosts mouth.

The phrase "I hate you Ron Mexico" gets typed quite a bit on this site. I'm sure we could all handle a little more of that.

I'm sure this will cause a flame storm but how about "VFL"?

After all it was a Dooley program and is over-used too much on here.

Anything with Tyler Bray's name in it. He is part of our history, a bad history at that.

NashVegas, as in, "I'm headed to NashVegas to watch the Music City Bowl".

And

"He'll defintely be playing on Sundays next year."

The phrase is definitely overused but, conceptually, the program was and is a good idea. Provision of a broad-based spectrum of life skills and ongoing support to players after they have left the program: who can really be opposed to that?

I agree that the program is good but it has nothing to do with posters on this site, unless they're former players.

If Peyton Manning were to mention his HS instead of UT during his introduction there would be a total meltdown on here and posters saying he isn't a VFL. The guy is UT to the core but one decision by a CBS editing person would send this place into a tailspin.
