Regarding Josh, wonder if the problem is small hands.

Honestly, I think the speed of the game was a bit much for him as a true freshman. He already knew how to run routes at an SEC level, but putting together all the other facets of the game that go into being a quality SEC WR was a bit much for him.

I wish we'd had the depth for him to redshirt. He seems like the type of guy who should be really productive in years 3 and 4 once he acclimates to the speed of the game.

I hope it doesn't take him years to learn how to catch. The kid needs loud noises while on the jugs.

I seriously doubt Butch has a defeatist attitude like yours.

I agree with homeslice. It's reality and it's not always great news. We have brought in better talent to make out depth better. It only makes sense that if Howard doesn't practice and a equal to better player steps in his place, that Pig could be left behind. I would rather Pig get his stuff together, but if he doesn't then next man up. We have recruited well enough that replacements should be available to make sure there isn't a fall off in production.
