Are these games as crowded as media outlets report? If so, is it time to move to a larger gym? With the talent we have enrolling and our favorite ballervols returning, could we televise these games on WVLT2?

Bearden's gym is too packed to get any tv equipment in there... they seriously need to move to a bigger gym...

I agree but I dont know where they'd move it. Bearden is a good location because its in West Knoxville but the event has definitely out grown that gym. I'm guessing its illegal to have it at TBA or Stokley since its suppose to be a non-UT event and I doubt the Coliseum even still has a basketball court because I dont think a games been played there since the 70s.

No the Colliseum (sp?) still has a basketball court that would be a good location to try....

I like Bearden's gym, but yes, it's hotter than Hell in there. Even in the winter, it always was a little too hot. Always had a good atmosphere for Bearden games as well.

But, they could always come to the south side at South-Doyle. Bigger gym, but it's kind in the sticks.

The only problem I see with the Coliseum is that it would probably cost alot to rent out which would be a problem since the games are free.

when did they get rid of the gym? It had to be in the last 10yrs
Renovation completed in... 2003 or so? I had a few classes in there after they opened 'er back up, and attended a Trombonery concert there. The auditorium is pretty nice, as are the lecture halls.
