I saw it yesterday. Those who think it will be awesome in 3D, it's not, so save your money.

It was definitely better than the 2nd and 3rd ones, but it's not a movie I'd say you HAVE to see on the big screen.

As far as it not setting up a sequel or being stand aloneish type, I'd say that's not happening. They most definitely set up a sequel with the end credits scene.

GOOD Movie. As good as any off them. I did not stay until the teaser was seen in the credits............anyone?


I liked the dynamic between Depp and Cruz better than Depp and knightingly.

The movie was the 2nd best out of the series. I do agree about it not being a must see in theaters though.

i thought the plot was pretty straight forward IMO, unlike 3.......which tried to cram a million things into the storyline.

I saw this movie last night. I thought it was the best Pirates movie so far. I loved the first, liked the second, and didn't care for the third. This one was outstanding. Looks like they've left it open for another, with the whole Pearl-in-the-bottle thing.

I will never watch this series again do to this film. I almost asked for my money as I left theater. The first one was a good flick.

I am creating a list of people who liked the 2nd one in this thread. I know what they say about any film is without merit. I can only imagine they watch films while on drugs.

I never watched it again after the second one.

Or did I?

The one where they ran on the wheel was the last one I saw. Freakin' awful.
