Pitt head coach Narduzzi has a rules suggestion that would be absolutely disastrous for UTs up-temp offense.

The article alludes to the unlikelihood of this being added to the already phonebook-thick NCAA handbook ... but it still needs to be said that this proposed "the offense can't snap the ball before there is 25 seconds left on the play clock" rule has zero chance of ever becoming an actual rule stipulation, and rightfully so.

It would be like having a rule in basketball that you can't shoot before the shot clock is down to 15 seconds ... nobody wants to watch players just standing around, picking their noses for 15 seconds. It's a stupid proposal.

You know those plays where it’s fourth and four and the qb stands there for the whole play clock doing a hard count to see if they can get an offside call but nothing’s happening and everyone’s just sort of lined up and standing around? Can we use “Narduzzi” in our audible? Pretty please?

Tldr: Wants to implement headsets for QBs and hold the ball till 25 on the play clock.

Instead of teaching and figuring out how to play vs this type offense, ahem Georgia cough cough, they want to make rules so they don't have to. Pitiful IMO. Everyone wants the easy button nowadays.

UT was the most exciting team to watch all year. The numbers speak for themselves, tv ratings and stats.

He still thinks his team is undefeated. Not the sharpest knife in the box.

Everyone, please remember and remind the press. He is to be referred to as the "Chris Bickell '97 Head Football Coach Pat Narduzzi". That is the title, Chris paid good money for it, and ... bwaaahhahahahaa Pitt took it.
I must have missed this, but looked it up after you mentioned it. Absolutely hilarious. Naming stadiums, eh. And I thought it got pretty silly when the whole “that’s a Pilot Flying J first down” stuff started. But this is absurd! I’m only okay with it because it’s Pat Narduzzi, and has to be great for his ego! Haha

After watching him almost lose Pitt's bowl game with a bone head call, I don't think many people will want his suggestions. His decision?

Well, lets see. If I kick the chip shot FG I will be up 2 scores with about 2 minutes left. Naaa, were gonna go for it (and not make it giving the other team the ball who scores and ties the game). Moron.

Only under 2 minutes. It's a ridiculous suggestion by people who can't teach fast adjustments, or don't want to.

Even only in the last two minutes would be limiting to a team behind by 3 scores because they need to be moving fast every possession of the 4th Q.

Even if just trying to catch up before halftime you may need to speed up.

What a joke.

I wish Narduzzi would win like 2 games for the next couple of seasons and then get fired. He is the most annoying coach outside of Beamer and Smart.

I'd be more worried about some rule allowing the defense time to sub regardless of whether the offense does than this DA proposal. That type of rule would totally kill uptempo offenses since defenses would start walking players in and out.

Narduzzi: “we’ve lost 5 or more games every year except the past 2…….and we lost 4 this year”. “We’re in the Coastal division of the ACC…….easiest in all of power 5.” “What can we do.”

Frank Cignetti Jr: “We can make it were QB’s have headsets in their helmets…….that way we can tell him to throw a touchdown instead of throwing an interception.”
