Yea that will never work, the Denver Broncos when the won 2 super bowls say hi. Lets see what plays out first.

Lol... I was going to say the exact same thing... Broncos made people look stupid with that line for a long time, just plug in a RB and he'd have 1200+ yds a season... But I know, I know, Alabama is better than those Denver Broncos teams, I know...

What about SalVanilla, any word on him?

I'm not buyin all these rumours just yet. For someone who just got the call three days ago, I wouldn't expect him to be making coach retention decisions in 48 hours, except on the Defensive side of the ball.

I suppose Chaney will bring him along, wherever he lands. Pittman made him look 100% better this year.

When CBJ was hired at Cincinnati he brought basically his entire staff with him from Central Michigan save for the DC and WR coach. That tells me they are pretty good coaches and they like working for CBJ. The OL coach is very well respected so it's not surprising that Pittman isn't being retained. I'm guessing CBJ will look for the best DC he can find and move Jancek to lb's. He will go after Tee and hopefully retain Darin Hinshaw possibly as recruiting coordinator although if we get Tee I'm not sure that will be possible. I really wish CBJ would not retain Jancek in any capacity but right now it looks like he will be retained just not as the DC.

I agree with strike one. The o-line had made it clear this is their coach.Well so much for all the team buying in.

That sucks about Pittman. What happened to the best coaching staff available?

Pittman was here one year and did a nice job with an experienced line with a ton of talent but it wasn't always good. Just like the rest of the team they looked much better against bad teams. How did they look in that Vanderbilt game? They didn't give up sacks because Tyler would throw it away so early. The line was much improved but you have no idea who the better coach is between Pittman and Mahoney. When Dooley's coaches didn't come with him everyone said it's because they didn't like Dooley. Now CBJ is bringing some of his coaches and you want to keep the ones that Dooley had. Why would CBJ fire good coaches that have been with him for 5-6 years now? Does complaining about everything ever get old?

That's what we had a few years ago after kiffin recruited for zone blocking schemes he liked. We saw where that got us
Kiffin didn't really recruit offensive linemen. Not flashy enough for him. Having said that, our offensive line woes weren't his doing either. That all started before him.

I'll complain if I want. They looked pretty damn good against UGA and USC. The running game was light years ahead of the previous year. The O-line liked Pittman and I don't like to see the chemistry upset.

Pittman did a great job; just going to see what CBJ puts together... He is a very good communicator; we will see soon enough what the staff will look like... He has to get everyone in place to make that big recruiting push.
