Check out Overton Square area for Belly Acres and possibly Bosco's.

Also recommend Felicia Suzanne's for finer dining, but lots of great options listed here.

Look up Broadway Pizza on Memdenhall - about a block from the Gus's on Mendenhall. Broadway's burgers are 1 lb. and are delicious. Their pizza is amazing, as well. Few Memphians will tell you to go to the Rendezvous for bbq when you are closer to the Commissary.

Central BBQ was absolutely insane. Had the hot wings, wet and dry. Wife had the BBQ nachos. Both were to die for.

Going to try Heuy's tomorrow and Gus's before we leave on Sunday.

Central BBQ on Summer Ave
Gus' fried chicken
Germantown Commissary (if you're willing to drive 15 min)
The BBQ Shop
Leonard's BBQ for the lunch buffet. Best lunch in town

Those above are my favorite Memphis eateries

Avoid the Rendezvous, much to HMan's dismay.

Love Leonard's buffet. They have great catering too. I lived in Memphis for 4 yrs. I still stop at Leonard's for lunch when passing through the south end of town.

For breakfast.. Bryant's Bar-B-Que and Breakfast. Go hungry, it is a meal, great country ham, gravy and biscuits.

Gus's Fried Chicken is a must if you like fried chicken.

Central BBQ is good.

Haha.. apparently everybody likes lots of East memphis locations..

If you're gonna be there, one & only bbq at Perkins ext. and southern is great.

And really, corky's isn't bad, especially for out of towners.. amd it's right down the street on poplar.

Gtown commissary is also outstanding.

If you go downtown, I'd be in my car on the way home by 10p. But that's just me.

We use to have a Corky's in Springfield. Worst BBQ I have ever had.

Yes, I am positive it's the same Corky's.

Looking like we will only get one game in today. Any suggestions of what to do tonight if the second game in rained out?

Go check out Bass Pro at the Pyramid. Then check out Beale St. There are plenty of places to snag some food down there.

One other pizza location right down the street from where you are staying is Pyros. Choose any pizza with as many toppings as you want - as much as you want for about 8 bucks. It's quite good. Just go over the interstate and you will pass a Costco on the right and Jim and Nicks bbq on the right (not a true Memphis bbq place, but still very good) and it will be at the bottom of the hill on the left.
