glv98 ya know I love ya but I have a different take on Jordan. Now, I will give that sometimes she does dribble the ball of her foot or force a bad pass but more often than not, I think she is more like a good QB whose receivers keep running the wrong routes.

Jordan has a sky high b-ball IQ, great spatial awareness and court. Only Rickea and honestly Jordan Walker are on her wave length. She sees things that her teammates don't but should. Let's take her bad pass to Puckett, where it is easy said bad on Jordan because Puckett was not looking for a pass. Now let's flip it around, Puckett is running down the court in transition, unguarded with a clear path to a lay-up and knows that Jordan sees all and can thread a needle. Why the heck is she not looking for that pass. You can't play the effectively with tunnel vision. On a good number of Jordan's bad passes, they would be highlight reel plays, if her teammates realized that they needed to take one step left or right to get in the open space. Statues are easy to guard.

And that is why the under use of Justine bothers me. I think she has the spatial to move to the passes and find open spaces. I am not sure, though, because it is hard to assess anyone in 2 minute cameos. But when she has had a bit more time on the court, I think she is a player who can read the angles.

Elite players have elites minds. Some of this deficiency does fall on coaching but I think it more comes down to recruiting (and using) more players who have it.

I've noticed the same thing when it comes to Jordy. She makes elite passes to non-elite players, and sometimes it looks like she's throwing the ball away with a dumb pass when actually the pass is brilliant. She occasionally makes bad passes, too, but if her teammates had her BBIQ, it would be a lot more good than bad. Bernard King used to hit his UT teammates in the face with passes. So, whose fault was that?

I'm thrilled for Horston that her decision is made and she can now begin the next exciting chapter in her young life. The joy she brought to the program for me as a longtime supporter will never be forgotten. Thank you, Jordy. Please come back to TBA as often as you can so we can show you how much you will ALWAYS be loved and appreciated.

Doesn't matter, they'rre all turnovers that cost a possession. The passer has to read the room. It's possible to ease back or skip the pass altogeher. Especially in the crunch during a comeback.
I can tell you that it was not an easy decision for her. She loved UT, Knoxville, the fans and most importantly, her teammates.
No doubt it was difficult for her. LOL all decisions seem to be hard for Jordy. I wish her nothing but the best.

is this last of portal and players leaving with years to play this year. good luck horston if tenn wins sec or goes final four next year. you were part kellie first bricks she built it on.

Really sad that she couldn't have been rewarded with a Final Four appearance her last season. Was hoping she would stay but support her decision and am grateful for all the highlights she brought us.

Thank you, Jordan, for staying the course when it wasn't easy. From goofy sign bearer to team leader a d stat filler. Great legacy for a LVFL.

Agreed. Ugh. I did not expect that from that poster. What a disappointment.
I think it's ok to have a sense of humor about these things, esp when Jordy says pretty much the same thing. One of the things I really respect about her is how openly she has owned her struggles. And it's obvious the reason these things are hard for her both on and off the court is bc she cares so much.

Also, that comment about decision making was cherry picked from several posts full of glowing things I said about her. Including that her loyality was the cornerstone of the impressive culture rebuild.

Powell? I want her back, splitting time w a new PG. I want someone who already knows the system in the mix.

Like I said, one of the most polarizing players in program history with the LV fanbase...

It's hard to know tone in a poster forum. Taken by itself, I thought it was not cool. If you say it was an attempt at humor, then I give you the benefit of the doubt. I didn't think it was funny when I first read it, but I've posted things here I thought were funny and no one else thought so.

But I didn't cherry pick. I saw A post that was three sentences long. I could have just picked the entire post without a difference. In any case, there was no intention cherry pick as if to place you in the worst light. I just saw the post and reacted.

Nah. The list is long and well populated. We’ve got four or five on the top ten list currently on the roster, list of course not corrected for recency bias. The negas seem to each pick a favorite to disparage and it’s on.

I can't see anyone jumping all over glv98 - one of the most moderate, even-keeled, non-inflammatory posters here - for making an innocent joke over any other player...

For a minute there, I thought Loyal D was talking about one of the most polarizing posters in program history with the LV fanbase.
