Players speak

I don't know about that. But I have watched a ton of football over many many years and I pay attention to the tiny details. And I can assure you, this is an incredibly poorly coached team. And I started saying that back at the Akron game. Probably would have seen it sooner, but I didn't get to see much of the first few games.

Not poorly coached on offense--they have moved the ball and been pretty good except against bama...but they have looked lost in the secondary...but D-Line and LBs are getting better....but I can't believe how SLOW our DBs are...VERY SAD! :salute:

Yeah, cause the average 20 something isn't in the media and social media mega-circus. But the lingo is the same for a lot of them.

I think it's groovy, and rad, and narly. Don't you?

This might be the thing that hit me hardest in this whole article....and the thing that will always make me thankful Coach Dooley was here for a time:

Completely agree. I've heard that Hood is a great kid and I can't even imagine what he went through. I'm so glad Dooley was there to help him through such a horrid experience. Hood's gratitude was evident.

I would imagine that getting a scholarship to UT is probably the best thing to ever happen to the guys in their football careers. To have to play during the most horrid state the program has probably ever seen is unfortunate, but I believe the state of the program, especially this year, is overwhelmingly dooley's fault. Therefore I conclude that dooley is the worst thing to ever happen to the players. All players face adversity during their tenure, but when it comes at the hands of complete and utter coaching incompetence? Where is the flaw in my logic?

That's where your wrong. Dooley didn't create the mess. He tried to fix it and he couldn't. He tried to get these players over the hump and couldn't get it done. He didn't start this. He tried to finish it for them. He didn't. He's fired. We'll move on to another guy that can hopefully get them over the hump. To me it makes no sense to bash the guy and talk bad about him like he's dog **** or something. He tried something and it didn't work. Surely you can understand that. Why talk about him? He was asked to take this job and he took it. He failed. He's not trash. He didn't cheat to try and get it done. We have players here that are good enough to win physically. For some reason he can't get them mentally where they need to be to win in this league.

Well I'm a 34 year old since everybody is telling their age. Married with two kids. Work all day. Ride horses all night. Rodeo with my wife and kids all weekend. Season ticket holder and try and go to as many games as I can. Just a simple man trying to make it work in a world of **** poured on us by the fed gov't from both sides. I'm a huge fan of your too by the way.

A year ago I would have agreed with you. Some of the crap he's pulled this year has led me to question his character, and I now resent the man entirely. I stand by what I said

I'm not diagreeing with you about his and his staff's inability to get these guys ready to play, but what has he done for you to question his character?

I've already said this several times, but...he constantly throws his own players under the bus to save his own skin. He actively shows his players that he has no confidence in them to win (see last 40 secs of mizzou regulation), and above all, he is just utterly incompetent

My comments and opinions on the program and how to make it good again may be unconventional, but I believe my logic is sound. I'm not trying to out-fan anyone here, so you may as well just quit worrying about me. I seem to make a new enemy with every single post, so I'm guessing I won't be long for this site. As the dooley people say..."patience friend"". Besides, if I didn't make posts like that, where would all my likes come from?

The 40 second clock runoff was horrid to say the least but throwing his players under the bus? Hell that's what all coaches do when they overthrow a 3rd down ball or they drop a 3rd down pass that would have given us a first down. Or when the #1 kicker out of HS couldn't kick his way out of a wet paper bag. He challenged Bray after the UGA or Miss St. game and look how he has responded. When you play like **** you get called out. When you coach like **** you get called out on your decisions. Players of all sports get thrown under the bus every single day. Offensively the plays have been there to be made. At the most critical times we haven't made them. Defensively, who the hell knows what our problem is. I for one don't pretend to act like I know what the problem is on defense. Dooley has not managed the clock well in his time here that's for sure but this year we have missed a bunch of big plays in the most critical times that MIGHT of gotten us a win.

Your not making an enemy with me. I'm just trying to figure out why you stand where you stand. And I'm not saying I'm right either.
