How do the Vols need help provided they win out and their only loss being on the road at the top team in the country's place? Played very poorly and still had chances to really be in it or win....

I hope Tennessee goes to the Playoffs with an 11-1 record but i have a feeling they will be screwed and wind up in the Sugar Bowl.

I am scared of the Pac12 champion getting a seat at the table. We all need TCU to lose if that happens I don't think they can get in based off Bama being ahead of them with a loss tells us the committee says they need a big win and be flawless.

The PAC 12 though USC/UCLA have to play so one gets knocked out. That gives the other a top 10 win. Oregon plays Washington and Utah both which will be solid wins. It would be optimium if someone tripped them up but I dont see wither of them doing it. Which means if a 1 loss UCLA/ USC meets a 1 loss Oregon in Pac12 championship game thats going to be a top 6 or 7 win. Plus a conference championship. I the committee will feel the pressure to let them have that seat. So we need to hope UGA wins out and they will likely. Ohio St/Michigan winner is in. So that leaves 2 seats. We must absolutely pull against TCU and for PAC12 cannibalism. Let's them eat each other or I think we will get left out in cold if TCU is flawless and Pac12 only has 1 loss coming out. Surely even a 1 loss ACC champion that got humiliated by a nothing great Notre Dame team means they are out regardless unless true chaos sets in and several teams have 2 losses.

I don’t think Oregon will get in with their loss to Georgia being greater than ours. I believe we will be ranked number 4 at the end of the season when we went out

Any 1 loss conference champion (e.g. Clemson or Oregon) has a chance due to the extra game, and committee selection rules.

i think tcu will lose this week to texas which will knock them out, and think it will play out being 1.Georgia 2. OSU/Michigan 3. Tennessee 4. Oregon
don’t think they would have us rematch with georgia in the first round.

As of today I think we drop to 4.

As the season goes on, if we win out and Georgia goes on to win the SEC, I think we remain at the number 4 spot.

However, politics are what they are and I doubt the people who chose these spots make it so we play Georgia in the first round so I could see us bumped to 3 for the final rankings.

1. Georgia
2. Michigan/Ohio State winner
3. Vols
4. TCU if Undefeated or Oregon if they win PAC 12.

TCU still has Texas. They could easily lose that game
Yeah. I agree with this. I could see several top ranked teams losing down the stretch. We’ve already played a bunch of ranked opponents. Time for us to dominate and wait.
