Mizzou just extended their DC. They obviously did that before our game so they can get their DC extended cheap as opposed to waiting after out game when the DC shuts us down and extension would cost Mizzou more.
Their DC is really good.

If we win out and tcu gets beat it's a done deal. Hell it might be even if tcu doesn't get beat

My understanding would be then
1)UGA
2)OSU/UM
3)UT
4)Oregon
I don’t necessarily think both Oregon and TCU each have to lose one

How do the Vols need help provided they win out and their only loss being on the road at the top team in the country's place? Played very poorly and still had chances to really be in it or win....

Geezus Cussin Cryst dude

i think tcu will lose this week to texas which will knock them out, and think it will play out being 1.Georgia 2. OSU/Michigan 3. Tennessee 4. Oregon
don’t think they would have us rematch with georgia in the first round.
Don't think they will rematch Oregon with GA as well.

I think Tennessee will be on the outside looking in with an 11-1 record. I could see Tennessee playing TCU or Texas in the Sugar Bowl.

A lot of chatter in multiple threads. Let’s put it to a Poll!

My thoughts; I think we are in a very good place with our schedule compared to other teams, so
just simply win out and we are in. I don’t think we have the pressure these teams below do.

1. Rather be TN than Ohio State or Michigan, one will be eliminated…..And I Love it!

2. Rather be TN than TCU having to play at Texas, and at Baylor, plus probably play in Big 12 Championship game, that is 3 tough games. Texas has beaten 4 top 25 and scoring lot points.
ESPN is giving Texas 73% chance to win.

3. Rather be TN than Oregon having to play two top 25 teams left on schedule, plus their rival Oregon
State there. But Bo Nix is having them playing very good right now.
But, that 49-3 loss to GA looks ugly.

Are the same people who were confident we would smoke Georgia by fiddy the same people who believe we are automatic for a CFB PO spot after that loss?

I'm nervous as hayell because now we control nothing at this point.

Got a feeling we will be 4th Tuesday, if so we will be 4th until OSU-Michigan game is decided. Then we move to 3rd with the loser of the OSU-Michigan to 4th.

I think it will depend on the last 3 games. Take care of business in the next 3 games with style points and I believe UT will get in as a 3 or 4 seed. Right now, there's only 4 undefeated teams. No matter what, there will have to be at least another 1 loss team with the OSU/Michigan game in a few weeks. I also don't see TCU getting out of the next 2 weeks unbeaten but that depends on how Texas and Baylor play. If Ole Miss or LSU makes it out of the West, theyll still have to get by UGA. However, the possibility also depends on where they put UT this week.

If they get past Missouri i would say 70% chance they go 11-1

Kirby just gave them the blueprint to beat us and they scored 22 on GA.

Missouri was up 16-6 on GA at half time.

GA was losing to Missouri the entire game until about 4:30 in the 4th quarter.

The blue print to beat us. Have 5* DBs that can play our WRs in man, dominate the line of scrimmage, don't miss tackles. Good luck scheming that one up Dorkiwitz

We win out we will either be the third seed or they will bump Ohio State over UGA to play us in the 1st round. They aren't going to put 2 SEC teams in the same bracket. I don't think that has ever happened. Last year everyone thought UGA should've been the 4th seed, but they bumped them to avoid the rematch in the first round.

The only caveat is if it is us and Oregon since we both played UGA, but I tend to think that they would still go with Oregon as the 4th so they avoid an All SEC 1st round.

I think Utah will give Oregon fits and don't overlook the Oregon State game at Oregon State. They would love to wreck Oregon's train. Also I have faith that Bo Nix will do another Bo Nix at some point.
They would also have to play a 1 loss USC in the championship game, or a rematch vs 1 loss UCLA. The Ducks don't have an easy path forward, and you know Good Bo Nix always has the potential to transform back into Bad Bo Nix.

I voted 3 but will be happy with 4. I think TCU and Michigan lose. I don’t see Oregon jumping us and think they stand a good chance to lose against Utah. GBO!

I have to admit that I'm nervous about Mizzou.

Their D seems legit and UGa was lucky to mount a comeback in the 4th quarter.

I hope our coaches come up with a great gameplan and that our players get over the loss to UGa and get their heads cleared and totally focused on executing well the rest of the season and playoffs/Bowl game.

Whatever happen this has been a great season and is already better than most people dreamed could happen.

I'm so proud of our footVOL Team that I could bust!!!

VFL...GBO!!!

As far as Resumes for the final CFP rankings with 3 games left in the season:

Tenn - 6 games against ranked teams. Record 5-1. 3 of the 6 still ranked. Remaining games Mizz, SoCar, Vandy.
Will add this for Ut's schedule, but not the time to do the others:
Ball State 5-4 won
Pitt 5-4 (UR) won
Akron 1-8 won
UF 5-4 (UR) (#20 at game time) won
LSU 7-2 (Top 10?) (#25 at game time) won
AL 7-2 (Top 15?) (#3 at game time) won
UT-Martin FCS 5-4. 3-0 conference. 2 of 4 losses against FBS. won
KY 6-3 (UR)(#19 at game time) won
UGA 9-0 (1?) (#3 at game time) loss

Other leading contenders resumes:
UGA Only 2 games (both wins) against a team ranked at all, now or when game was played. Games to play, MissSt, KY, GT.

Mich - Only 1 game (win) against a ranked opponent. Games to play - Neb, Ill, OSU (2 currently ranked) A ranked and pretty decent ILL team is in great position to catch Mich sleeping the week before OSU.

TCU - 4 games against ranked teams at game time. 2 still ranked. Games left Tx, Baylor, ISU (1 ranked currently) Tex and Baylor both capable of beating TCU.

OSU - 2 games against ranked teams at time. Games left IU, MD, Mich (2 ranked currently) Maybe outside shot for IU to catch OSU in a good week for an upset, but I don't see Ryan Day letting his team fall asleep.

Oregon - 3 ranked games at game time. record 2-1. Games left UW, Utah, OreSt. (2 ranked currently) Any of 3 remaining games could potentially be losses.

Clemson - 1 loss blowout to unranked ND. 3 games against ranked teams at the time. games to play UL, Mia, SoCar (none ranked) Only decent challenge could be SoCar. UL could win, but has to play up like they did last week. At this point I don't think SoCar would be too much of an upset. Clemson has real QB issues, and no real take charge RB.

USC - 1 game against a ranked team & lost. 2 teams played (1-1) currently ranked. Games to play Col, UCLA, ND. 1 ranked, but a tough unranked ND if they show up. 2 potential losses, but looked good on 11/5.

UCLA - 3 games against then ranked tems. 2-1. Games to play AZ, USC, Cal. Only USC ranked. Cal is a sleeper that is not real good, but played tough against USC for a good part of the game. They should be up and trying to knock off UCLA.

That's everyone that will be arguing they should be in Top 4, with 3 games left to help level the argument over the next few weeks. All have schedules left that could potentially lead to 1 or more losses if they get caught sleeping. Tennesse has a favorable schedule left, and after the loss to GA, they may steam roll those 3 to make a statement. We've run our gauntlet. Now it's just TCB. Yes, UGA beat UT, and that counts but taken as a whole their schedule has been crap verses ours and has no better remaining games than UT. No one else has the 1 or 2 loss resume to hold a candle to UT's resume, except LSU at 2 losses.
