several teams are starting to look like playoff hay makers....New York Giants are the best team in football........the Jets are starting to look like one of the top 2 or 3 teams in the AFC. Don't look now, but the Colts are back. Also don't look now, but the Patriots are sort of back too.

no body should care about the AFC West.

Jets and Patriots get in from the AFC East.

Colts and Titans get in from the AFC South.

Steelers win the North, and will likely be the most unimpressive division winner, save the AFC West. the South and East winners should be the favorites.

the AFC side of the superbowl will come from the South or EAst........

in the NFC.........things look pretty separated.......

the Eagles are falling apart, and in large part due to McNabb.......he's just awful right now.

the Cowboys are making their push.

the Giants though are #1 and #2 is a good ways off......

from the South......Tampa, CArolina and Atlanta all in it for the division, Atlanta though seems to be playing the best all around. Tampa and Carolina sometimes can't get out of their own way and are lucky to have won the games they have the past 3 weeks.

the north.......Chicago? Green Bay? Minnesota? I'll say Green bay for now.

in the West.......the Cards took a hit, but still shoudl win the division

hard to not pick the Giants to return to the Super Bowl from the NFC.

The titans will win the division if they can win the next 3 games. Detroit is probably the scariest of all the games. The titans are still banged up and they have a very short week. Also no team has ever gone 0-16. Obviously this could be the first time but its likely Detroit will win one somewhere. I just hope its not against the titans. Cleveland and Houston dont worry me very much.
The Titans can secure home field advantage with 4 wins or less if the jets and steelers lose 1.
Pittsburgh and New England are both looking good right now but they both also lost to the colts. Indy has been improving but I think they will lose one somewhere down the line.

where's the love jakez? right now, we're in...
key word.......right now. Dallas hitting their stride, if they continue to win (i hope they don't mind you, i hate the 'boys) they'll get a wildcard i believe.

that and i can see the skins losing a couple more. Portis has to be, and remain, healthy and live up to that #1 rusher in the NFL thing the rest of the way.

skins aren't out of it, but i think they will be when all is said and done.

if you lose to Detroit............you don't deserve anything.

as for the rest, you get the Steelers at home and as a Steeler fan, i can tell you the match up of your D line vs. our O line is awful for us. if Parker isn't healthy and you're getting doses of Mewelde Moore and Kerry Davis, i woudlnt' worry too much. if you get less than 5 sacks in that game, you should be worried.

Defensively howeve,r we match up with the Titans as well as you do defensivel with us.

that game will come down to who makes the fewest mistakes and turnovers. should be a great defensive game, with the Titans winning a pretty close game.

the Colts game though........i can see you guys losing that one......last game.......at Indy.....and Indy has found itself the last 4 weeks. Indy, NE and NYJ are the most dangerous teams in the AFC right now.

but bottom line, the titans are at worst 13-3, and still probalby going to get the 1 seed and home field through out, even if they lose to Pittsburgh and Indy.

our next two are the Gmen and the Ravens. Two tough tests. But after that we finish up with a trip to Cincy, Iggles at home, and a trip to San Fran. I like those odds against Dallas'. they get seattle, steelers, gmen, ravens, and iggles in philly.

i think the iggles aroe about done.

you do have the easir road, granted. i could see you guys losing two and they losing three.

ok, i'm convinced. good work.

i think the iggles are done as well. But crazy things happens at the Linc.

FWIW, I think your Steelers are the class of the AFC, even after the Indy loss.

The Colts have the EASIEST schedule of anyone left in the playoff picture. If the Titans lose Thursday in Detroit, they will have a tough time winning the division.

Titals will never make it to the Super Bowl

oh, i don't.

thin and injured at RB, we have a qb that's been sacked like 100 times this year. we don't pass protect worth a darn.

the offense, really, has just been awful the past 6 weeks or so.

our defense though is championship caliber.

also, special teams have been awful......down to our 3rd punter, who sucks out loud and 2nd long snapper. return games have been in the pooper too.

still have Dallas, NE, Baltimore and TN to play in the next 4 weeks.

i'll come back and agree with you on your assessment after this stretch.

yeah, but who else is there in the AFC? The Colts and the Jets? The Jets will stumble because Brett Brett can only take them so far. The Colts will stumble somehow, because that's typical Colts. Only teams left are the Steelers. Just tough, grind it out physical play. No one wants any part of that in the playoffs.

If you want to throw in the Patriots, that's fine. Cassel is starting to look good. But that would change in the cold, cold playoff weather. The Broncos? Eh, they're way too inconsistent. The Ravens? Their best bet would be to stay on defense the entire game.

Jets will falter because Favre is interception happy, and they dont have a dominate/consistant running game. They are 2 plays away from being a 5 loss team.

Cincy will beat Washington in Cincy. Mark it down.

I am shocked I have gotten by so long with nothing from the titan camp. The titans will not be a playoff threat.

As for you ATL, I applaud your optimism

We are decent stopping the run. I do not see JC beating us. I say we win 17-13.

all valid points.

and if there's one thing to like about the Steelers, it's the D. past that.......you take your chances.

as for the rest, the colts, jets and pats are all playing their best football of the year right now.......and now is the time for it.

the titans....hm. i think they're very good. but i still think they will need help to make it to the SB.

I have to disagree. If the Titans get home field that will be huge. It's amazing how different the atmosphere becomes during the playoffs and home field makes a bigger difference. Also, I am banking on them being healthy going into the playoffs but if not than you are right. They might have an opportunity to rest players which should be an advantage to them.

if the titans slip up and lose to the lions or browns, they could be out of the divisional hunt. Indy has a cake schedule until they see the Titans the last week of the season and they are hitting their peak (as much as it pains me to say that). Resting players may not be an option for the Titans.

The Colts will make it to the playoffs. They'll probably not win a game beyond that, though.

The Titans will win the division. They essentially have a four game lead holding the tiebreaker over the Colts as they already beat them. Just can't see the Titans losing four of their final six with the Colts winning out.

I'm a Titans fan, but it wouldn't surprise me at all if they were one and done in the playoffs.
