Ok, let's say PSU loses to MN and we lose to UGA. Both are 10-2. They will get in over us without a Top 25 win.

Let's say IU loses to Ohio State and we lose to UGA. They will get in over us playing 1 game against a Top 40 team...
You are making assumptions. Your scenarios would be valid if the playoffs happen right now. Still football left. The bottom line is we have to win out. That’s not getting screwed. It’s just the way it is.

We win out and we are in. Lose to UGA and likely we are out. Welcome to the dumbazz clown show that is the expanded playoffs. Remember, this is what almost everyone (not me) wanted.

When IU goes up 3 spots after barely beating a dogshit team at home, my assumptions are pretty valid.

When PSU is #4 although they lost at home to the only team that had a pulse, my assumptions are valid.

Agreed, gotta win out. Our defense is doing great but our offense has been less than. If it comes down to it a 2 loss bama and a 2 loss TN they will be in ahead of us just with there roster talent. He'll they could win the natty!
I mean, it's also the current resumes as well.

Tennessee's resume currently consists of:
- a win over the #10 team (7-2 Alabama),
- a win over a 5-5 teams (Oklahoma)
- a win over a 5-5 team (NC State),
- a win over a 4-5 team (Florida),
- and a win over a 3-6 team (Kentucky)
(not getting into the FCS team win or the winless MAC team; neither do anything to strengthen the schedule).

And unfortunately, Tennessee also has a bad loss in 5-4 Arkansas (it's not as terrible as it was...but there's a fair number of teams in these rankings whose loss or losses came to ranked teams)

The other (Alabama's resume) currently has:
- a win over the #12 team (7-2 Georgia),
- a win over the #21 team (6-3 South Carolina)
- a win over the #22 team (6-3 LSU)
- a win over the #23 team (7-2 Missouri)
- a win over a 5-4 team (Wisconsin)
(and similar to early, the win over the 4-6 AAC team and the win over the FCS team don't do anything to further strengthen the schedule...they're not really worth getting into, as is the case with UTC and 0-9 Kent State for Tennessee)

And of the two losses Alabama has, one is to the #7 team (8-1 Tennessee) and the other is to a 6-4 Vanderbilt (a team that had popped into and out of rankings this year).

Not to mention Bowling Green was winning that game at the half. And was a 3 point game with 5 minutes left in the game. That should be looked at as half a loss in the committee’s eyes if they want to bring up stuff like “eye test”.

Well they would also have beaten LSU and Georgia, which we would have lost to if we are 10-2

Take off the orange glasses, one of our loss is against a team that will probably end up 6-6

True, we lost on the road to a probable 6-6 or 7-5 team. But we got about as good of a win as you can get to offset that....

Penn State, Texas and IU may end up with a combined 0 combined top 30 wins between them

If Texas wins the SEC they will have a top 10 win, they will also have beaten A&M to get there. Our schedule isn't much harder than any of those. All the ranked teams we have beaten are not ranked anymore, with the exception of Bama. So we have 1 top 15 win.
