Please fix the new season ticket holder seats

I’m going to assume they have just given up on doing anything to fix or replace the new season ticket holder seats and just expect us to deal with it?

I am by no means am insider or have any connections to the UTAD, but it sure seems that way. I do know I won't be renewing them next year.

I don't expect them to use the same vendor next year. Or at least not the same type of seat. I heard a guy a couple rows in front of us saying he called the ticket office and had his removed, and they refunded him for the remaining games (not sure when he did that.) In hindsight I wish that's what I would have done.

I have an older person in front of me, and one directly behind me. So I sit sideways in order to keep my knees from getting whacked (cause the lady in front can't help leaning back.) And I don't sit all the way back in my seat because that pushes the back rest back into the little lady behind me. My back was killing me by the time the game was over Saturday (I assume because my posture isn't good trying to hold my back and legs a certain way?) Thankfully we could stand a lot of the time, but it didn't help enough.

I did see the ones they rent per game are the old style that @CPA mentioned. Maybe they'll go back to those.

UT has done surveys and the overwhelming majority of season ticket customers that have them prefer them over the old ones. They're here to stay.
Maybe everyone having bad experiences with these should to contact the ticket office if they didn’t contact you.

The problem is the seats themselves aren’t bad for us, it’s bad for us when someone in front of us has one. So depending on how the survey was and what it was asking about…ya know

For the Mississippi State game, I had the distinct pleasure of having who I can only guess was Shrek and his woman sit in a pair of the new bolt-on seats/torture devices. I'm 6'-3", and try as I might I am unable to shorten the length of my femurs. As Shrek reclined to the fullest extent the whole game, the top edge of the damnable contraption was digging into my left kneecap whilst his ample back-boobs spilled over onto the aforementioned kneecap, forming an unwanted and sweat-inducing lipid blanket.

Following on to the theory @vollygirl had re: season ticket holders renting the bolt-ons and selling their seats, can confirm that is the case for the seats Shrek and She-Shrek occupied, as a different group has been in them every game this season.

Deer park knows his stuff but I was told no decisions yet and they would let me know the plan for 2025. That was mid October and have heard nothing since but have not asked. That was from one of the AD’s. They have sat in them during games and couldn’t sit normally. They understand it’s a problem.

I filled out the survey and told them how much I didn’t like them for all of the reasons already said. I also don’t have people sitting in them in front of me. But, I am conscious about inconveniencing the people behind me and am unable to lean back without doing so. I bought them for the back support, not because they look cool. I will not get them next year - waste of money, IMO.

I know you have connections to the AD and your claims carry weight, but I’m here to tell you that if this is the case, UT either asked a weirdly short population or there are seats in the stadium that have far more legroom than others.

There is no chance that a survey was done and the result was anything short of these being terrible without some level of outside influence to coerce that outcome.
