Please Stay Tyler Bray!

Tyler Bray leaves me feeling very conflicted. The kid is, I believe, an extremely talented player. I think under the right coach and the right system, he could be a superstar. But, there's just something with him that I can't place that leaves me feeling...I don't know...

The best way to describe it is this. I know he's good. He knows he's good. I just don't think anyone who coaches him believes he's as good as he thinks.

I'm ready for the Peterman era myself. No offense to Bray but I'm just ready for a whole new look on the field next year.

If Cutcliffe were still here as offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach, he would thoroughly deconstruct Bray's throwing mechanics. For those of you old enough to remember, he was not averse to dissecting Peyton's throwing motion for the purposes of optimizing his release point and speed of release. Say what you want about him as a head coach, but Cutcliffe, with his attention to detail, was a superb quarterback coach.

At the end of the day, Bray could have left with Kiffin. He chose to stay and play with US Tennessee. Whether you think you do or not you owe him some respect. Just because he doesnt celebrate as you wish and take in adversity as you wish doesn't mean his heart is not in it or has a bad attitude or doesn't love the Vol Nation. HE CHOSE TO STAY AND GIVE HIS ALL. Whether you choose to support him is your decision, but he is playing you and me and all that love the Big Orange. Its hard to see people get on here an bash the kid just because you don't understand him let alone know him. Watch and see who is the first to celebrate when we score. Its him, always him. Believe and support him he is our QB and I guarantee he reads the crap you guys are posting about him, You think it helps? Its one thing to bash a coach its another thing to bash the kid out there trying to win the ball games you are dying to see!!!!!!!

Wasn't his only other offer San Diego State?

Well if there's a idiotic thread wanting Bray to leave, then there should be a thread about Bray that makes sense. Bray, you have all the talent in the world. I am very sorry you had a loser as a head coach. Please stay, and you will have a winner as a coach, and your will be a first round draft pick. Please, Tyler stay and fulfil your potential! And tell you're buddies CP and Hunter to please stay too while you're at it!

Well it would be great for Bray to stay. However, he has endured much under Dooley and has much to learn. At this point, I want Tyler to do what he feels is best for him and will be grateful for the memories that he gave me this year. He and our O were the bright spots in the program these past three years.

I can remember a lot of games he shut it down. That's not giving your all.

Let's face it,Bray is dumb. He can't read coverage, and misses as much as he makes.

You my friend are about to get your **** wrecked...

As for me, I honestly can't decide if I want Bray to stay or go...I was firmly in his corner until last night...

I like him more for it. Played for a coach that has no idea what he is doing. If the guys had a coach they win ten games this year.

NO

Erroneous

If you were as smart as him you'd be coaching or playing. See you there

Bray's only other offers were San Diego St and Fresno St offered late. He did commit early to San Diego St so that may have had something to do with it. With his arm there must have been some reason the big schools shied away. I've never seen a top 10 rated HS QB so lightly recruited.

Bray is a good SEC qb not great like a lot of people out there saying he is, he is to laid back for me like to have a QB with more leadership skills.

Then you would see the "Worley Era"

You may be right I've obviously never seen what Peterman can do. Like everyone I've heard good things. Personally I just don't see Worley being a starting QB in the SEC unless he is in a system designed specifically for him. He does seem like a good kid though so I will be pulling for him just like I will be for Peterman.

Worley is a good QB. You just haven't seen much of him. Last year he was a true freshman. in the Vandy game he looked pretty good, the INT was all on Paterson.

Bray is dumb? More like he had a dumb coach who was supposed to teach him such things.

You are correct. We should not expect any QB who has started that many games to be able to take any responsibility for his miscues. It can't be his fault--it has to be someone else's fault.
