Please Stay Tyler Bray!

Bray isn't "dumb". He has terrific physical ability.

His problem is that he chokes under pressure. That's why there's such a drastic drop off vs credible opposition.

Blaming it on coaching is ridiculous. He proves what he's capable of when he doesn't feel pressured. They don't coach him to throw into coverage or to fail to follow his progressions. They don't coach him to panic, step into the pass rush, then fumble.

Bray's reactions to pressure have been as big of a factor in the losses as Sal's horrible D. A different coach might help some with that... but not a lot.

I like him more for it. Played for a coach that has no idea what he is doing. If the guys had a coach they win ten games this year.

Yep, players have no responsibilty for anything. If they had the right coach they would have won the national championship.

Give me a break--at some point the "star' players need to accept some responsibility for the seasons the Vols have had.

Bray is so good that I would love to go out and hire him a player agent right now!

If Bray stays... and I am fairly indifferent... then I hope the new HC has a truly open competition that evaluates decision making, O managment, and leadership along with making throws.

I think the new coach will do so. He isn't going to be dependent on Tyler to win games for him--if Bray matures and his mental side catches up with his physical abilities, its good for Bray and good for the Vols.

If not, at least we'll know what his pro chances are.

The new coach and staff will definitely open up the competition at QB and a bunch of other positions. If Bray can handle that and realize his performance and attitude will dictate if he plays, then I'm fine with him staying. If he thinks his stats entitle him to be the starter, then best he move on.

You just stated the reason I think he moves on... if he can.

tyler will not make a decision until he evaluates the new coach and his offensive style
