How can we follow a leader when this a corrupt one
The government’s a g-unit and they might buck young black

Ah yes, now that the whole "He's a Secret Muslim Kenyan" thing is out the window, we are back to the "He's a Militant Black Power" guy.

Anyone see a common theme in these two claims? Anyone? Bueller?

Your racism squeals are maybe in the ballpark for 2 or 3 people on this board, and you happily use it to paint an entire group nationwide.

It's quite tiresome.

I used to like Common. But as time went on, he fell into the same trap that LL Cool J fell into. He started rapping to the ladies.

But even with that, I don't have an issue with this.

Hard to complain about a guy going more mainstream or making decisions based on the cash. Limited window means make hay while sun is shining.

Don't know who this guys is, don't care. I certainly don't think this should be news.

How dare PBO invite someone who isn't afraid to exercise free speech into our sacred White House.

Get real.

Hold up a minute. Dude was talking about killing a president. That's free speech and I'm fine with that, but everyone who gripes about his formal invitation to the White House has a legit beef.

An apt name 'common', since he is common as dirt.

This just about says it all about the first family and
their mindset.

Instead of 'hope and change' their slogan should be
'hip hop and spare change.'

To be clear, my comment is directed at the likes of gs and joevol, as well as that element of the Tea Party that wants to use racial distrust and suspicion to win.

So lowgator, are you black or a minority? Everytime I checkout a thread like this you give the strong appearance as if severely offended by someones opinion. Just trying to make sense of it in my head

Hearing rumors that the poet known as David Allen Coe may receive a formal invite in the coming hours. Stay tuned.

Debatable. This is Common, not Immortal Technique. It's hard to say that "burning Bushes" only means to kill.
