watch where you step and sit and try not to touch anything. That place will be full of ass pickers, wood rats and various other filthy rubes.
I’d also take some Vick’s Vapor rub to smear under your nose. That place smells of a trucker’s ass in August

I was there in 2019 and 2021. I found almost all of the fans to be very friendly and nice. However, I wouldn’t expect as warm of a welcome this time around.
Nope they will be in a different mood this year after they got their ass spanked by the vols. They will be nice but once kickoff is done game on.

Will never forget going there in 2001, after game was over and we were leaving heard a guy chirping from the stands above me. I looked up and showed him 7 fingers to indicate our streak. He began to tip his beer then had a change of heart haha

The only time I have been to Tuscaloosa was 2003... the last time we beat them there. My girlfriend's dad had a connection with the sheriff, so we got a police escort in and out of the stadium and sat in a skybox (which was actually between the lower and upper decks). Ate the rich bammers' food, drank their booze, and beat them in 5 overtimes. It was pretty awesome for a poor college kid.

We didn't see much of the campus and obviously had no problem parking due to the escort. I do remember that their pre-game show was pretty cool, although I'm sure its changed in the last 20 years.

Or break his jaw
That'll work. I had a moment after the 6-3 loss in 2005 walking back to my truck when a frat boy broke away from his flock and yelled roll tide at me. For months, maybe years, I regretted not punching him in the face... but in the moment I was severely outnumber so just walked around him and kept going. I think maybe if I had mace I could have peppered the whole crew and escaped unharmed. I was pretty fast back then.

So when we win, I'm thinking we need to plan to walk back to the car rather than stand in line for the shuttle.

On the subject of odors, perhaps the Alabama fanbase has adapted a sense of smell along the lines of the Belding's ground squirrel, for the exact opposite reason. That's why they get so lathered up at Bryant-Denny...it's not the smell of victory that gets 'em going, but instead it's the olfactory cornucopia of consanguinity in the stands.

Probably best you didn’t do anything

We usually park at the sports fields east of stadium and quad….otherwise a hohum stadium imo, not loud, and sight lines are bad everywhere. If you sit in North upper deck, lots of steps for ground level…..

Unfortunately I will be in the student section with my friends, one of whom goes to school down there. Wish me luck, I'm prepared for an earful and to be soaked by the end of the game...
I just don't think I could do that. You're a brave Vol soul🧡🧡

For better or worse (and thanks to a cheap UT scholarship office, my progeny is on a full ride at that darned Red Hell and plays in the band).

I echo all the above. Escape after the game is a loooong burn. There are few routes. Use the Clutch! app to find parking. We usually park in the Capstone Deck. That place rolls in football money so enjoy the pretty campus—that is the only thing pretty there hahahaha.

We have been to a few dozen games at the BDS dump. Not a lot of food options and beer is new this year (or maybe last). Stadium is a dump.

With few exceptions, the Bammers are decent humans (sadly so) and never harass my teen who is always decked out in Big Orange. I wear half Orange and Half Band support.

Never utter those RTR words. Ever.

The fans there are spoiled so not nearly as loud as Neyland. Ever. And expect them to abandon the stadium in the third. The students are actually tracked and punished for leaving early (with lower ticket priorities) because Satan gets pissed.

GBO.
I have an identical story. Daughter got a great academic scholarship and was also the million dollar band drum major for 3 years. I’ve been there more times than I want to remember but she introduced me to some pretty cool game day activities involving the band and alumni. But I’m gonna tell you, it hard to sit amongst em and be quiet.

I go to Tuscaloosa every time we play there. The Bryant Museum is worth the time to visit.

Don’t take first parking you find, work your way in. Plan on a long, long wait to get back to the interstate. That place gets locked down. Too many people for that small city. Hang out a couple hours after the game.

There are a couple cool bars on the strip. Lots of students and dumbass kids like any campus.
Last and only visit was ‘05 and the Bammers we tailgated with (great people) told us afterwards, “you can sit in your car for 2 hours or you can hang out with us for 2 hrs and eat, drink and watch other games; we chose wisely and stuck around. I lack 2 SEC stadiums on my quest to visit all, and I will hands down say, Tuscaloosa in 2005 was the best experience I’ve ever had. I live here now and make fun of them with the best of them, but the true alums are nothing like the sidewalk fanbase that we make fun of and have been great to be around whether in Neyland or at Bryant-Denny. The trash you encounter in the Calera Circle-K is a different breed and the alums can’t stand them as much as anyone outside of Alabama.

We walked back through the quad after that game and they lined the sidewalks and opened a path for us to yell roll tide as we parted them. Little to no cussing from what I remember, no right up in your face just the expected ragging and I was ok with that. They won and deserved to celebrate.

Maybe a stupid question.. Do the visiting fans dare to light a cigar after victory in the other team’s stadium?
