Maybe a stupid question.. Do the visiting fans dare to light a cigar after victory in the other team’s stadium?
I am if we win and smoking it all the way back to the car. They have for all the years they’ve beat us at Neyland. I’ve been here all morning tailgating and at SEC nation and have had nothing but great encounters. That’s the way sports and fans should be imo. GBO

So unlike anything I read on here we had a great time in Tuscaloosa even with that terrible second half. Everyone in our section was nice and put up with me well in the first half. None of them rubbed it in in the second half.

We met Mcallan Castles parents and one of their high school friends from Cali has a son that’s a bammer and their entire high school bunch was down for the game and invited us to tailgate with them. The tailgating scene there is pretty good and was a nice mix of Vols in there.

I went into this fully expecting some of the horrors I read in this thread and we did not experience any of it. We had a blast until about two minutes left on fourth down and we knew it was over.

The people who had “horror stories” are looking for something. I’ve been to Tuscaloosa twice now, and both times were non-eventful and cordial experiences. Bama fans hate Tennessee the program and/or idea but respect the rivalry, they don’t hate the fans.

If we had dominated them for 20 years like they have us, they would hate us.

I was there in 2005 in the midst of a 9-1 run for us and the fans were great. To this day the best away game experience I’ve had and I’ve been to 12 of the 14 current SEC schools and 13 out of the future 16.
