I would like for someone to explain the irrationality.

What is irrational about expecting a UT QB to complete 60% of his passes against South Alabama?

What is irrational about criticizing the fact that I've seen five games, but have yet to see any comprehensive offensive game plan for 4 quarters?

How long has it been since UT fans have seen the football team play 4 quarters of football?

I don't see what is wrong with asking any of those questions.

Giving the FACTS that Jones has very little talent on this team and our dumbass fans having insanely unrealistic expectations of this group, are we the most irrational and ignorant fan base in America?

Between how Holloway's mom was treated and what I've seen on Tee Martin and CBJ threads today, I'd say, no. Irrationality and ignorance can be understood and even forgivable. Both can be remedied in folks willing to learn. But willful hatred and spite based entirely on not having things your own way and fueled by arrogance, categorizes such folks as being beneath unicellular organisms. You just happened to use the wrong terms to describe this particular faction of the fanbase. You should have used repugnant and malevolent.

A little perspective boys and girls. We're but one of many many irrational fan bases. How soon we forget the crying Georgia fan on the radio after losing the first game of the season.... wanted the head coach who narrowly lost in the SEC Champ Game last year to the eventual Natl Champions fired.....after Game freaking 1!

Yes but a lot of our fans are worse than that.

I believe the Op was referring to the fanbase per se and not the SoAL game.

Regarding the post about the crying GA fan, dogs do that. Elvis sang about it. It's still afar cry for some of the viciousness you see here. Just look at the Tee martin thread for example.

Nothing wrong with asking questions. But many fans don't ask questions, they just state opinions as facts.

Aside from that, many of the comment are on the line of "we really suck", which AT BEST is stating the obvious.
We all know the Vols suck right now...pointing out the obvious doesn't accomplish a thing.

All the questions you ask above can be answered simply, and the answer is "we suck right now".

Why Hell No, maybe one of the most passionate, but think about it, after 8 years of losing, any good fan base would be upset...if they wern't they wouldn't be much of a fan base to begin with, now would they?
