Each half hour of his show is 10 minutes of him blabbering, another 10 minutes of him reading copy for some ad, and then 10 minutes of regular commercials. I prefer the commercials.

Don't know about Ivans, but thanks for the warning. Live in Nashville & don't listen to anything except for Doug Mathews. In today's world sports talk has become tiresome: trying to fill hours of air time with something relevant as the China virus has made games a farce.

Tony is a good guy, from what I've been told, but he has zero place on broadcast media. Let's find him a nice little message board somewhere.

Hyams can't speak english very well. Clearly he was a pity hire.

WJBE isn’t exactly a flame thrower. TB might have as many listeners, or more, from the other platforms that he narrowcasts from and which he owns.

I don’t like a lot of his shiz but I can turn it off anytime that I’ve had enough.

I don't love a thread about the WORST at something, when all of these people work hard and don't make a lot of money. Especially when the platform is completely free! I was once a radio personality in Knoxville (not sports), and something like this would have crushed me, when all I wanted to do was bring joy to my listeners.
I do have to question whoever voted for Josh Ward, though. He's major-market talent, IMHO.

Tyler and Heather are a close call.

Heather knows absolutely nothing about sports.

If a thought can be expressed in 25 words, Tyler uses a 1000, sucks in a little oxygen, then uses another 500. And still says nothing interesting.

Tony does pay. He pays for air time and sells his own advertising. I’d like to see you to 20 minutes of radio. You’d be stuttering and going to commercial 10 seconds in. Always some keyboard warrior to attack other people’s career. There are plenty of hosts I don’t like. You know what I do? Don’t listen.

Only 20 minutes of radio? Modern radio? Without carts, turntables, reel to reel machines, network news, top of hour ID, and a PD breathing down my neck? All I have to do is talk about "sports?" That's almost too easy. But we're not talking about me, we are talking about bad sports broadcasters in the Knoxville market. Tony has never shown up in the ratings. Anyone who advertises with him based upon his supposed listenership is probably just throwing their money away. Same with Sports Animal, WKGN and all other "sports" radio stations. THey have very few actual listeners. It's the same thirty guys calling from their parent's basements. In Rockwood.

So, ok, tough guy. Line me up on a radio broadcast. I'll even bring my own 'cans.'

You have no clue what you’re talking about. Tony lines up national guests and coaches. He’s been doing it for 30 years and has a large listening base that expands to Vol fans outside the state. The best part is he answers to no one except the fans.

Tony is a loser. He has always been a loser. Those are facts. If there was a chance of him not being a loser he wouldn’t have to pay for his airtime. He would have all the viable broadcasting entities begging for his content. But no. He’s terrible. It’s really bad when Dave Hooker is better connected.
