Pollution......we’re all going to die.

This is tragic on several levels.
The Kentucky River is brimming with dead fish as the fallout continues from a fire at a Jim Beam bourbon warehouse.
The warehouse in Versailles, Kentucky caught fire Tuesday night with 45,000 barrels of whiskey inside, according to Jim Beam's parent company, Beam Suntory.

It won’t affect the cost of Jim beam as it’s less than 1% of their inventory.
We won’t know the real damage for a while

Once upon a time when you went to the grocery store they used to ask you if you wanted "paper or plastic", then they just offered plastic with a few paper bags left for people wanting to put their frozen stuff in them. Now you get 50 plastic bags with one item in each bag.
And an extra bag or two attached that didn't pull off correctly.

That plastic problem in the ocean has been building up since 1930, boomed in the 60's. This new craze about banning plastic straws thinking that's going to solve the problem is just idiocy. Those paper/cardboard straws are just terrible, they literally degrade within minutes in a drink, not to mention how awful it tastes. Personally I rarely ever drink from straws, in fact I think the only time I do it's from fast food restaurant cups. I'm the one guy who passes on straws in every eat in restaurant I go to everyone else asks for a straw. I don't know when adults needed straws to drink from glasses at restaurants but stop the childlike behavior and drink from the glass like a normal grown a$$ human being.

Straws are a small part of the problem but still part of the problem. For those of us who take the problem seriously every little bit helps. The slice family is damn near plastic free. It ain’t easy but it’s worth doing.
The other option is to be like the sipshits that stay in power preaching about the ills of climate change while being the worst offenders and doing nothing to help in their personal life.

We converted to glass storage containers. Most have plastic lids, but it’s a start. Not to mention the reduction in leaching. Look at a plastic container after it’s had spaghetti sauce in it:

We’ve gone to all glass as well

Reading thread about the pretend problem of “climate change “ this morning reminded me to but a discussion on the actual problem of pollution and once again point out that nobody in politics cares because it cannot be used to control the masses like global....whatever they are calling it this week

At first I was hopeful then I saw this kids haircut and lost all sense of confidence in his decision making.
