poor Kyle has no teammates

.. he should be grateful that hes gettin a chance to make it in nascar....
Eh... he's not some guy that has worked all of his life for this moment, to be in NASCAR. He could quit NASCAR right now and get a ride in any racing series that involves four wheels.

And he's not the first guy to flip people off or wave their hand out the window at another driver during a race. You see that kind of thing almost every week.

look I know u guys are F1 and Indy fans, Im not downgrading them, but nascar is the ultimate stage in racing... sure you can make plenty of money and be famous overseas but if you want to be a superstar, you come to nascar...

the whole "flippin Jr off" thing is gettin blown outta proportion... i dont care that he flipped Jr off, I dont care that he flipped anyone off.... it just seems that every time the camera is on him, he does something that pisses me off (whether it be flippin someone off, wreckin someone, cussin someone)...I know hes made a name for himself in other series, but hes still a rookie in nascar no matter what, so he should act like it.... maybe I just dont like the guy :naughty:

you could not be more wrong. with the exception of America, F1 is the ultimate stage in racing. this isn't even a point i'm going to debate with you because i'm not going to let you dig yourself a deeper hole that you're already dug by posting this. you have one series that races on one continent and another series that races on SIX continents. there's a reason why the F1 champ is considered the WORLD CHAMPION.

F1 is superior to NASCAR in racing facilities, technology, money, women, drivers.

I think what Rick Hendrick is doing to him is pretty crappy too. I hope he gets into another car and does well out of spite to those that have treated him poorly.

I agree, Rowdy is a better wheelman that Junior, no doubt about it, once he settles down, hopefully with a good team, he'll make Hendrick sorry, on the track.

But the cash flow in the Hendrick organization made the move workable, which is too damn bad. Kyle is a good kid, and i hope he does well.

ok ok, im not going to argue with you.... this could go on for days.... ill agree with u that the F-1 technology and money are superior to nascar, thats not the point i was tryin to make... JPM is in nascar not F-1 now, I just think he is disrespectful... he chose to come to nascar, so now he should work his way up like every other rookie.. do u think differently???

why as a rookie should you be expected to kiss the feet of the superstars?

JPM has ALWAYS done things his way. that's how he's wired.

ok, i'll bite after all.

Eddie Cheever left F1 for IndyCars. Micheal Andretti went to F1 from CART, and then came back. Emerson Fittapaldi left F1 for IndyCars. add to those names guys like Christiano De Matta who went to F1 and Alex Zanardi who came from F1. throw in Gil De Ferran from F1 as well.

an lest we forget Mario Andretti who has won a Daytona 500, Indy 500, and F1 world Championship?

and AJ Foyt won both 500s.

I don't why you keep making excuses for him Doozer. He has a bad attitude and he's yet to prove anything except winning at road courses. When he wins a couple of oval races and makes the chace and contends for the championship I'll listen to his complaining. At least Tony has won championships in the Nextel Cup so he has a right to complain about anything he wants.

not making excuses.

be patient. we're still talking about a guy who is, what, 20 races into a NASCAR career?

I knew someone would say that, but I hold JPM to a higher standard than most rookies because he has a lot of experience in racing, even if it wasn't in a stock car he's been driving for a long time. And he has yet to accomplish expectations he was placed with this season.

What expectations did he have? 98% of the people on this board said he'd never win a race, much less within 17 starts.

Because regular cup drivers race 2/36 races on a road course a year. JPM has thousands of road course races under his belt. The only significant thing he's ever done is win the Indy 500, but indy is no Nascar.

Yet all of the Cup guys have thousands more races worth of experience on ovals than JPM... and he still finished 5th in his fifth Cup oval race in a mid-pack car. How embarrassing is that for the Cup regulars?
