Poor Sportsmanship?

Has anyone done the math? When we had a first down with about 2 minutes left, could we have actually run out the clock taking a knee? Or would have been one of those weird, awkward, scramble around for a bit to waste time to get there things?
40 seconds of play clock on 3 downs is 2 minutes, plus 3 seconds to run the kneel down per play. Teams can run just over 2 minutes off by kneeling.

Grow up! Need to take a knee on the last play.............why score........what would that prove.
As a competitor I would find it far more embarrassing when someone else gives up and goes easy on me.

Why do I need them to give me less than their all? What does that prove? And if people were openly calling for the other team to go easy, that's about the worst insult imaginable. Thank you for pointing out that I'm so totally inept that other people have to beg for my opponent to give up because I can't do anything to stop it.

I can't remember how that set of downs started, but sometimes first down will be a 25 second play clock or the clock doesn't start until the snap such as when the previous play went out of bounds. Again I can't remember the set of circumstances or the exact timing in this case.

Maybe someone less lazy than me will go back and check

You may be right. I, too, am too lazy to check.
