I don’t think it “official” yet because today is a holiday. Tomorrow is when the schools paperwork will be put in.

AP reported that the MM 48 hour clock didn't start until the staff was able to show MM an informational video about entering the portal. None of us know when that happened. Probably wasn't Sunday night. So AP said we may not get a YES/NO from MM until later in the week due to the holiday.

Also, it would make the most sense for MM to wait until the last minute before declaring one way or the other. The longer he waits, the more offers he could receive via back channels. So IMO he will wait until the staff tells him the 48 hours is up and they have to enter him in the portal. At that point he will declare one way or the other.

The portal closed at 11:59 PM Sunday. His name had to be in the portal by that time and the university compliance department had 48 hours, from 11:59 Sunday, to submit the paperwork.

IF we get them. WRs know our situation. They have leverage in NIL negotiations. And the WRs leaving are saying bad things about the WR coach. It's a messed-up situation to be in.

Would love to know what has really caused him to decide to go into the portal. Pretty much had a guaranteed WR1 spot with Nico still at QB and more NIL. It really just sounds like he doesn’t wanna be here

Maybe he doesn’t trust Nico’s ability to get him the ball consistently?
