Looking at Larry's list, I don't think he counted Bishop, who up until this point has been non-scholarship. But I believe VQ said he would be put on scholarship. So that takes a slot. I didn't count Dodson or House yet because they won't count toward numbers until they enroll in the Summer. If Bishop goes on scholarship, and we get lucky and Matthews stays, we would be at 81. If AJ comes that would be 82. Not sure we would have room for the Branch brothers. Do we have to maintain the 83 for this semester, or do they only count the season?

These Pruitt sanctions suck because we could definitely use more help. Kind of wish we had pushed more players that don't seem to be contributors towards the portal.

I don't think the staff is worried about numbers at this point. Take all you need from the portal. If that means 3 WRs, a RB, a DT, and a Safety, you take them. You don't have to be under the limit until fall. You cull the heard after spring.

I know you can't answer that but given it issues there it doesn't make me feel any better that they feel confident.

Also, it's not like Todd Helton had an extensive impact as a football player here. I know his senior season was shortened due to injury, but he was 41/75 for 484 yards for his career.

Bo Jackson, Deion Sanders, and Brian Jordan all played both sports. Professionally.

feels like we just lose our coveted Safety recruit at the 11th hour. We lost Sylvester to Auburn two years ago and now Haywood to Florida. Idk what’s going on with that. At the other positions our commitments generally hold

a bit off topic but do we think Danny hasn’t come out on social media like the bama AD and flat out asked for people to donate to NIL is due to the prior “talent fee” announcement? I just hope we aren’t getting behind others due to the lack of push for more NIL at least publicly from our AD/coaches

Thomas was going to start at Star before the injury. But yes, he will almost certainly be moved back to Safety next season.

Danny doesn't need to do that publicly. I am not sure it was a great look for Byrne.

Brooks was way above and beyond what I expected but we did give up some speed and athleticism that we almost have to have if we want to take the next step defensively. I’m sure Brooks being an on the field coach setting up everyone probably also played in when you have a really young secondary with both CBs being sophomores and a true freshman in Boo out there.
