Would be interesting to know what the difference is between NIL rates and pre-NIL (under the table) rates for different players? No idea who’s going to have that info or willing to go on record with it. For example, is the rate for a top tier OT now 2-3X what it was pre-NIL (making that number up)? But sounds like Bama’s boosters and under table capital campaign were very comfortable with annual “giving” under the previous administration. Now? Something must be different. Perhaps those aren’t as willing to write bigger checks without a guaranteed return on investment (Deboer).
What this portal season has shown us is that the amount required to be competitive is rising steadily.
If true, when will oregon (miami too) grow their own high skool qb? Lolwild guess here, but ima say a $6 million offer to Ewers
According to Justin Hopkins of On3's Scoop Duck, Sagapolutele wants to play right away, and after seeing Dante Moore at practice, he realized it wasn't going to happen.Did dude think he was gonna come in as a true Fr and start?
Always felt good that MM would return. Even though he never fully went in the portal, it's interesting to see the amount of teams that came in with promises of big bags along with ridiculing our fan base and bad mouthing UT.
Some of our issues weren’t always style either. Nico has to connect on those deep balls and WR play has to drastically improve. I think the staff was running the offense to maximize our wins which is what they should do. I mainly want to see the creativity we had the first few years with motions and formations. Offensive woahs weren’t all on coaching style.I had the same thought...they assured those guys of a different style, which means that's the intent.
Buy we can't just simply go back to doing what we did in 2022. Defenses have adjusted to the way they defend Tennessee. They're taking away the deep shots and daring Tennessee to sustain long drives. So what is our counter-punch?
