Well he's almost certainly not coming here so unless you want to live in "what if" world forever, it's better to move on.Branch has elite speed we haven’t seen at UT in over 20 years. As a sophomore in HS his 100M time was a 10.33. For comparison, that time would be a Tennessee high school state record.
I’d love to see him in the Jalin Hyatt role in this offense. His speed is different.
Understand people would like to see more production. Even so, his 500 yards last year were more than any of our returning receivers. This is the type of player that fits perfectly in Heupel’s system. Worth the $ even if you have to overpay.
Might be better than what we have at RT. No idea. But doubt we pursue. We want a guard, not a tackle.
JMO, but Elarbee is the one lacking.True. If both of our guards this year are portal guys...we need to send a couple Olinemen to the portal next year this time. Especially if the portal guys have more than 1 year of eligibility. Need to compile a list of current Olinemen and how many years eligibility they have left. I know this is the SEC and most Oline players dont play until they are juniors historically...but we have a bunch of them that will be sophomores next season. Like 8 of them? From HS...and only Satterwhite is expected to start next season from a slew of 4* guys or promising 3* that we saw as better than their ranking. We spent a third of our scholarships in 24 on linemen IIRC. By next seasons end it should be clear which are gonna actually play here and which are found lacking. Will be interesting to see who makes the grade.
I know this is late to your post, but I hate when parents are more interested in the attention they draw versus what’s best for their child. Oh, I know there’s a few that actually are looking out for their child. BUT, it seems more and more are treating their children as cattle and getting the most bang for the buck. It makes me sad. I have a son that shown in high school that could’ve taken the next level, but he was done and chose a different path. It makes me sad as a parent. His father loves attention. Be careful here
