I love our TE room. Receiver is not good once again. 3 of those guys are freshman and Amari Jefferson is basically a freshman because he was injured last season. It’s coaching malpractice if we head into next season with those guys

Concern is warranted, but guys are allowed to get better. No one would have expected us to count on Hyatt in January of 2022.

The goal was to get an elite option and they didn’t. Is what it is. Matthews and Staley can be very good and they brought someone in that will likely get a ton of run in Jefferson.

I’m disappointed and hope all know that our strategy was only to get someone who could truly be a huge impact.

We went so large on the offer I got too optimistic but OSU obviously had no issues approaching it.

We will keep working to find someone in the spring to help us in 2025 win big!

Is it? Ohio State had 3 receivers all year that had 15+ catches. A freshman, sophomore, and a senior. The reality is you just don’t play that many receivers barring injury. During Heupel’s time here:

2024: 4
2023: 2
2022: 5
2021: 3

Receivers with 20+ catches. Just find 3-4 guys you can rely on. Davis and Brame are just as fast as Bru with similar size.

It is January 24 and season starts in Sept. Still lots of time and another portal season after spring practice. We have a talented group of receivers on campus and an improved offensive line.
We have a QB that has proved to be tough and has a great upside.

Most of college football would love to have our roster. Yet, our fans moan and groan. We were top 10 last year and a playoff team in only the 4th year since a disaster of a coach and NCAA penalties that are still limiting our roster.
Yet, nothing I write will make you feel differently. Lol

I would have really liked to add Tate, too, or another potential star WR. Don't for get, though, Ohio State came into this year with one experienced WR, a true Sophomore with 18 career catches and a true Freshman as their starting group.
