He's smoking up his emergency stash.Has anyone notified @TrippieRedd?
I’m glad they didn’t overpay. Could cause massive problems in the locker room. He’s good but not that good. The reality is that he was the third best receiver on the team which meant he was going against the other teams weaker db’s. Big difference between being that and the number one. Got to be willing to walk away sometimes.I’m disappointed and hope all know that our strategy was only to get someone who could truly be a huge impact.
We went so large on the offer I got too optimistic but OSU obviously had no issues approaching it.
We will keep working to find someone in the spring to help us in 2025 win big!
Year 5 with a QB in his third season and we’re talking about “a growing season” lmao that is just sad, some of our fan base has such low expectationsAll caught up now.
First things first, this is not an "I told you so", but I said not to get your hopes up for Tate. Figured that wouldn't work out.
I've also said I'm perfectly fine going into next year with the WRs we have. I'm good with going young on offense. I honestly think defense is where we need to be concerned. I'd still love to add a rotational DT, a CB in case McCoy isn't recovered, and a Safety. I will say this, also. If There is any doubt in Satterwhite playing Center next year by this staff, they should seriously consider pursuing Pat Coogan. If they're confident in Satterwhite, then we should be fine on OL.
We have a tendency to put all our eggs in one basket with no back up. Coaches might want to reconsider that strategy. While I think we're fine without Tate, that strategy will eventually bite us in the ass.
I think 9-3 is a real possibility next year, but I see next year as more of a growing season than most. It'll be interesting to see if Nico decides to come back for a fourth year, I think it would ultimately help his NFL stock.
Yeah and their backups are the ones playing this year if you want to go down that route....I swear we are the most bipolar fanbase yall realize our receivers SUCKED this year right? It ain’t gonna be hard to replace our production from this year. We got the talent even though it’s young. We will be FINE… BREATHE
Amen brother. People bitching because someone else won’t spend over 2 million for Ohio State’s number 3 receiver is classic. Like my two year old grandson pitching a tantrum because he doesn’t get what he wants.I’m sorry but he isn’t worth $2 million. It’s not even my money and I think it’s too much. He would help for sure but how many additional catches will he make over the person he replaces on our roster next year? I like what we already have better than last years group. If Nico delivers the ball and we cut back on the drops we will be fine and the money can be used toward several pieces.
I hope I'm wrong, but everyone saying, "Spring portal!", I think you're going to be disappointed. I don't think we get much from the Spring portal. But I think our roster is almost fine as is. We could still make a few key adds from this portal session before all is said and done.Came for the laughs. Did not leave disappointed.
Reminder - There is still a spring portal to land some dude out of. I envision we will be chumming the waters till then. Other top recievers heard Tate was getting million dollar offers.
