Position changes that can help our team?

Do we have someone coming in that can take a kickoff or punt to the house? It seems like FSU has always had one and last night they had a FR take one home.

Is Malone that fast?

Isn't Lavon Pearson supposed to be the next CP? Would be awesome if so.

I don't know if he is. Usually it's about quickness as much as pure speed and usually it's smaller guys that have success in those roles (Cordarelle Patterson being a very notable exception). I would hope with all the receivers and defensive backs we've got coming in, that one of them could be a dangerous returner.

Must be quick twitch.

Hurd to TE......Butch will do it just so he can watch the VN meltdown.

I'll hold YOU accountable if that happens...you don't want me leaving Little Elm

The most likely one I can think of is Coleman to NB if Foreman, Payne, Jones, or maybe Evan Berry step up.

Croom could be a beast at TE and should have played that position last year, IMO. He would have helped the offense a LOT more there than at WR, where his impact was minimal, even if his blocking was suspect. I think that was a major coaching mistake, and if he's not moved this year we should hire Mack Brown--I'm kidding, but not about Croom playing TE.

How about NO position changes and recruit better players into positions of need.

One thing I hated about the dooley era was the musical chairs at every position. Let's give these kids a shot at learning a position so they can play fast.

Downs on the OL is laughable...

Maybe so, but it would be for depth only. We are a little thin on the OL. We have Meredith, King, Ellis, Summers, Quinn, Branisel, maybe Croom, Helm, and Wolf. That's nine. How many TEs do we need? Downs has experience and more size than the others is the only reason I mentioned him. Just a thought. Laugh if you want, but Helm and Wolf came to UT and enrolled early for a reason.

Meredith is no longer with the team, the others you have mentioned have not done anything. I have high hopes for Helm, and Wolf, but maybe we should see them play before you move the only TE with any game experince. I'm not even sure King is still at TE.

I hope so. It seems like we used to have Olympic sprinters returning kicks every few years.

Sarcasm? I hope.

Absolutely not. Our starting DEs are Corey Vereen and Jordan Williams. We'll be relying LaTroy Lewis and true freshmen to fill out the depth chart. That's terrible.

I think Reeves-Maybin, AJ, and Weatherd at LB with Maggit at DE puts the best 11 players on the field.

It'd be worth a look at least
