Scout has him as a DT. I trust Rivals more than Scout , but with our situation , where does he end up if he comes here ... DT or OL?

We can use this guy. We need all the depth we can get. If he's willing to come, I say let him.

What about the 25 maximum? His status rests on the 3 uncertains we have right now.. Even though we have a scholarship, we may not have room in this signing class

We have a 28 number count starting today. When Clark didn't make it, that but us at 27.

Still waiting to hear on Brown, Dixon and Lofton. If more than one of them is eligible, they need a startegy on how to handle, gray shirt someone? release someone??

Taking this kid just complicates it more..

numbers issues with in coming class. May have issues without him. taking him adds to that.

Maybe they have it all worked out already, I don't know but the risk is, NCAA penalty for over signing if you can't work it out

Thanks. That is good info.

I wish UT could appeal the NCAA/SEC in allowing them to have more due to the recent attrition.

From what I've read I really doubt Brown and Dixon make it in. Loften is also iffy and CDD also mentioned Jackson and Pair as iffy as well. So say Loften, Jackson, and Pair are cleared we're still out of room with Clark, Brown, and Dixon not making it in?

I get it, but don't know how it's a risk. It would put another of the non-qualifiers at risk since this kid is qualified.

In my mind, given our absolute need at his position(s), he's a take. The risk to me is that LSU asked him to grey shirt because he has no prayer of contributing in the next two or three years. Regardless, we run that same risk with our own inbound guys and this guy mitigates the academic risk that ours still carry. Seems he lessens our risk to me.

everyone has the attrition problem. If they allowed it for UT, there would be squeals from every conference...

you take this kid or John Brown?? what is that is our choice?

We say yes to this kid and take him. Then Brown is cleared to play on the 16th but we took this kid. Now what do we do?? We have a greater need for Brown right now..

Take both. Fabricate a report that one of our lesser 2010 signees was at the bar brawl and was responsible for everything. Dismiss him. Boom. Math.

Pair was cleared today. Which Jackson is at risk?

I think Brown, Lofton and Dixon all are not likely but it could be two weeks before we know for sure.

Of course Coach likely knows a lot more about all these situations. If we take this kid tomorrow, then it is pretty clear to me the 3 I named are not making it.
