This is huge and will help add depth. He might even be able to contribute quality minutes as early as late this season.

I also like this from the aspect of creating more recruiting ties in LA. LSU will always get most of the elite talent in their state but it would be able to pull a one or two from the area. That state is loaded with big uglies...

I love the fact that Dooley has been creative with bring on guys like "El Goocho", the new track star and possibly Porter. He is quickly filling holes in the roster with some 2010 stragglers and the current 2011 recruiting commits. I'm not going to get into a star argument but you can't deny that we are recruiting for needs with guys that have good character and grades.

Texas' recent success has eroded OU's appeal a little... but at one time there were towns in Texas that were effectively OU home turf.

Over time, getting these "good" recruits while developing relationships with families and HS coaches in talent rich states could really pay dividends.

Could DD have another scholarship if he released Bryce or Nick? I know its not going to happen just asking the question?

Pretty sorry of Les Miles imo..especially when you consider that he pulled out all of the stops in a last minute effort to pull copeland away from UT.

errh... nvm. I was initially impressed with your "solution", but a real leader of big government would find a way to just make the "surplus" happen as limits apparently don't exist for them. :p

In my mind, given our absolute need at his position(s), he's a take. The risk to me is that LSU asked him to grey shirt because he has no prayer of contributing in the next two or three years. Regardless, we run that same risk with our own inbound guys and this guy mitigates the academic risk that ours still carry. Seems he lessens our risk to me.

If DD has confirmed that he can come then they have room for him.I dont think it would be posted if he didnt have room for him.

Les Miles and his numbers. he has a hard time counting like he did in the game he lost clock management, he must have couldnt count then either. haha THANKS
