The importance of the point above can't be overstated. The single best thing that we can do with respect to our overall program's recovery is to add quality transfers who contribute right away on the field.
That's one reason I liked the Darr signing so much. Not a transfer, but it had the same effect - adding a quality guy who will use a scholly that would've sat idle this year and not having to use one next year at the position. If we get Malik, that potentially saves a scholarship for a DE next year (still might sign one or two, but have less need overall). That spot can be used somewhere our need is greater.
