Exactly. We can't use those extra 9 spots to sign bigger classes by rule, so it literally hurts NOTHING to except USC refugees, given that's the only way to utilize those scholarships for the next couple of years besides giving them to walk-ons already here.

Any player in the 3-deep at any position that wants to come, well bring them on.

The importance of the point above can't be overstated. The single best thing that we can do to speed to our overall program's recovery is to add quality transfers who contribute right away on the field.

That's one reason I liked the Darr signing so much. Not a transfer, but it had the same effect - adding a quality guy who will use a scholly that would've sat idle this year and not having to use one next year at the position. If we get Malik, that potentially saves a scholarship for a DE next year (still might sign one or two, but have less need overall). That spot can be used somewhere our need is greater.

If he really is only 230, i'd say it isn't out of the realm of possibility at all. of course he'd have to be willing to make the move.

If we could get his brother to that would be big.

I don't care if a waterboy wants to transfer - I will take the opportunity to stick it to USC & Co. every single time.

What? No players from USC are going to visit UT, and we definitely are not getting any transfers...Ask Hat and his buddies.
