I think 2000 deserved a legitimate debate and recount given the tiny margin and circumstances in FL.

Hillary Clinton was also a sore loser in 2016. She had sour grapes. No doubt about it.

However, between the "fake elector scheme" and the riot at the Capitol on January 6, 2021, it should be evident that Trump and his followers did far more than just claim that the election was unfair. They took active measures, and even resorted to violence, in order to overturn the outcome.

Finally, you are leaving out an important detail about Al Gore .... Even though he lost the 2000 Presidential Election by less than 600 votes from one state (where his opponent's brother happened to be the Governor), Al Gore not only never said that the election was rigged ... as the sitting Vice President, Gore also presided over the formal certification of his own defeat by calling the electoral votes into roll.

I can't imagine the frogs that would have rained down from Republicans in Congress if Gore had tried to contend that he had the Constitutional authority to not count the electoral votes from the state of Florida - as Trump tried to pressure Pence into doing in Georgia, Arizona, Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania.

Hillary CLinton did lie as she always does (Russian dossier) and Trump was proving there were irregularities in the 2020 election. According to Dems 2016 election was the most corrupt and 2020 was the most secure with the only changes being made from 2016 to 2020 were laws being illegally overturned by corrupt judges for the 2020 election ... drop boxes and mail in voting, etc.

Irregularites were proven to take place in the 2020 election and there was a right for people to protest a stolen election. There would have probably been no violence at the Capitol had the police not first agitated the peaceful crowd by firing tire gas and other things at the crowd to purposely stir up the crowd then open the doors to the Capitoal so the crowd could get inside. Of course there was plan b with the pipe bombs had plan a not worked in stirring the crowd up into something of a riot. And there were feds and antifa mixed in the crowd stirring the crowd up and antifa causing damage. Trump had NOTHING to do with this, he did tweet that people protest preacfully but that was erased from twitter. He even recomended the national guard be there and the mayor of DC agreed till she had ameeting woth pelosi then she changed her mind and did not want the guard to be a the capitol.

It's ok for Gore to challenge an election but a crime if Trump does. Pence had a right NOT to certify the votes, that would be within the laws ofor him not to do so. There was election irregularties that took place and no state should have certified votes until thorough audits were done.

They did all that and Trump still lost. Bush in NM (2000) and Gore in FL (2000) lost by .0009%. Trump lost Michigan by 3%.
