Potential Coaching Staff Members (list)

Thank you everyone for making us the most informed TN fans in the world it was definitely a roller coaster of a trip.

But enough with the sentimentals, VKB, can you also put up, as we find out, the salaries.

It would be nice to get a picture of what "Near-Perfection" is!!!

:pepper: :td: :number1:

I agree that Coach Wilson will be a better fit. He can Recruit at any place hes at. On the other hand I believe that Coach Gonzo is similar to another coach that we got from Fla take them away from UF and they are just OK coaches.

I agree with everything so far, and I've been reading this thread since Kiffin was hired. But my one question is, can Wilson coach receivers? It seems like he has only worked with RBs so far. I know he is a great recruiter, but I don't know much at all about him as a coach.

And how is he compared to Gonzales on the coaching side, as far as we know? I know Caldwell, Baker, Harvin and Murphy were really successful at Florida, but most of them were really talented to begin with as well.

The Wilson hire excites me very much. I had no idea he was the head of athletics of The New Orleans City Schools system. This guy is going to pull some good ones.

One of my favorite Vol fans. Decent game today huh?

I won't go back to Talk. DJ told me what folks have been saying since I left.

Well we won, but in the process we gave up 51 points to a mediocre SC team in the second half. Glad to have a victory, but I am not sure there is much rejoicing to be done. Unless things change defensively, we will have some hard times on the road.

Sorry to hear that. That Floyd's group are a bunch of homers. Forget them. Despite them, there is a good core of good people on that site. Regardless, I will try to post more here and keep up with you.

I may be in the minority, but I think USC will win a bunch of SEC games this year. They played with heart when any other team would have just quit. We played better and Scotty showed improvement, but should never have let the game get that close.

There are good posters there for sure. I'd spend too much time trying to name them all, but it's not worth dealing with the BS that goes on all the time and is ignored. It got to the point where I couldn't post anything positive about UT without getting lambasted. Some of the mods were the guiltiest parties and do nothing to moderate the board. That is about the worst moderated board I've ever been on. The few good mods are never around. Too much hypocrisy too much BS. I'll stick to posting here and over at Fanatics.

I know you think I took it too seriously, but I didn't. When it gets to the point where other thing you post is met with a negative response and you have posters getting way too personal, I draw the line. Especially being that I was a staff member. I'm bitter, but I'm steadfast. This board is much better.

What disturbs me about our team is the inconsistency of some of our so called veterans. Combined stats from Prince and Chism were 8 points, 7 rebounds, 1 assist, and 10 fouls. We need Smith to be our star and Prince and Chism to make solid contributions to succeed nationally. It was nice though to see Hopson have a solid game.

They all seem to be good recruiters anybody know if they are good coaches on the field?
I'm really stoked but I just don't know much about some of them.It looks like given a full recruiting class we will have talent let's just hope they can coach them up.

I too am worried about this staff's coaching capabilities. They seem like recruiters rather than coaches.
I'm not really worried, I probably should of asked it in a question about them. I think from what I've seen with CLK that he seems to think everything out pretty thoroughly. Just wante dto know more about some of them.

They are good coaches who happen to be outstanding recruiters...most of these guys are players' coaches and IMO they'll do well with player development. Hopefully they wont have to develop too many players as long as they recruit like they say they will.
